When Vader says **"I am not your failure"** , his face is covered in blue light as if Anakin Is accepting the apology from Obi wan . Then his face turns red , when Vader returns with darkness . This was so symbolising in a way that even though He's Darth Vader there's is still some Anakin left in him only those who really know him can take out .(Another instance Ashoka ) and Finally Master Qwai Gon for 5secs after two and a half decades Overally what a great short series which greatly connects the events , also keeping the characters comically accurate . I will be not mad or sad if we don't get a season 2 . Loved your reaction and review guys

Think about the new weight this Obi Wan and Leia arc gives his last scene in New Hope. The last thing he sees before Vader strikes him down is Luke and Leia together.

2 parts of the finale had me in tears 1st was obi wan and vaders dialogue where obi wan apologised to vader for all of it. And 2nd was when obi wan told leia about her parents padme and anakin. Biggest wtf moment apart from the fight between vader and obi wan the other was the scene of vader and the emperor and the imperial march.

For the most part I really enjoyed this show it had a solid ending and if they were to end it here I'd be perfectly fine with it because it does tie in pretty well with A New Hope

The root problem is how they broke cannon with Reva as a character. Sadly for me because introducing her and Leia without breaking cannon is something any knowledgeable SW writer could have done, but KK's lead writer had not even seen ROTS. This show is another example of KK giving SW fans, SW cannon and George the middle finger, the sad truth is she's getting away with it like in the Sequels.

@@jakecook2375 If you are going to criticize something, give examples. You obviously do not know what breaking canon is or what this show did to complement A New Hope and Revenge of the Sith. The writers did not break canon by introducing Reva as a character. Her arc tied in nicely with the Vader/Obi Wan fight as it serves to show two different choices-Vader stays with the dark side while Reva leaves it.

I think Anakin was hoping that Obi-Wan would have struck the final blow. While he was speaking to him, the light on his fade kept alternating between blue and red. The first Obi-Wan sounded like a plea, while the 2nd one sounded like it was done in frustration/anger that Obi-Wan didn't kill him.

While the show had some rocky moments it did serve to give context to establish moments that are to come that the movies already set. Reva my issue is not her inclusion but how it seems to retcon already established continuity to avoid inconsistencies it would have been better had she not learned about Luke at all not only does it raise more questions but it makes Obi-Wan seem out of character letting Reva live as he has shown in later iterations of Star Wars that he will literally kill to keep the secret of Luke’s existence safe. Character wise it allowed Obi-Wan to overcome his past guilt and move forward. The biggest surprise for me was the return of both Sidious and Qui-Gon Jinn I really love the parallels of how they were both blued out as both a hologram and a force ghost which is perfect symbolism of while not being there physically their presences are felt. If you believe Dave Filoni’s theory of both Sidious and Qui-Gon being the father figures Anakin needed to influence his life to do great evil or great good it makes sense and by extension it juxtaposes their current relationships with Vader and Obi-Wan. Vader pledged himself to Sidious believing it was the right thing to do and in the end he lost everything a slave to his past actions to the guilt of the atrocities he committed and is now a slave to the sith lord seen as nothing more than a tool Sidious uses to enforce his will. While Obi-Wan overcame his past and his guilt finally finding peace and being able to see the Jedi Master he once thought of as a father ready to learn new abilities from Qui-Gon. I wouldn’t mind if they did another series as its still 10 years before the events of A New Hope but if not this was a perfect note to end Obi-Wan’s story on.

There is not retconning of already established continuity regarding Reva and Leia. She does not know that Luke is Vader's son, nor does she know his name as the message did not mention it. Her only concern is that she kill someone Obi Wan is watching over and cares about. And in case you are talking about the message Leia sends Obi Wan in A New Hope, remember that Obi Wan said they both had to be careful that no one knows of their close friendship. That is one of the reasons Leia's message is so formal.

I saw your faces on a long list of reviews for this episode and remembered seeing you guys in a compilation of The Mandalorian. I will never forget "I hate SW" comment made during the comp and understood immediately you were referring to how SW hit you emotionally. I feel for Deborah Chow because she had to work with a writer who didn't know SW, Joby Harold had never seen ROTS and KK doesn't give a sh** about SW, it's real fans and the lore and cannon, she's always giving us the middle finger, like she did in this season. However, Chow directed this cannon breaking season and her name will be associated with it forever but I believe she really wanted to do good SW but worked with the wrong people. KK wanted Reva's character in this show because she wanted a female villain and hero combo character who would save Luke. When asked about why she had Reva save/protect Luke she said to have Kenobi save both Leia and Luke would be a little over the top? Her justification made me laugh because when in the h&l* did Hollywood not go over the top, another middle finger moment for her. Reva was a good potential character for SW if done correctly but KK not caring and knowing SW broke cannon in a big way. Firstly, if Vadar knew from the beginning she knew his real identity automatically dead, dead and more dead. Secondly, Obi Wan would have killed her as well, remember in SW Rebels when Maul figured it out and Obi Wan, who was more powerful in the force even more than this episode, struck him down in one strike. KK is a smart extremist, remember the t-shirts The Force is Female, she understands female emotions better than most men do. Over all this was a disappointing season 1 but had some strong emotional moments to SW and those moments are what made people tune in. I did hit that subscribe button.

I loved their reaction in Mando as well ^^ I remember the chewie t shirts and the doggos & cats behind I'm pretty much on the same page as you Jake If there isn't a season 2 where Luke also gets to shine as a child hero with all those qualities inherited by Padme and Anakin, then it was just some KKK BS as usual. Still, we've been given some awesome moments - especially Half Vader half Anakin.

@@luketimewalker You got to remember KK is against all this. The three amigos, Dave, Jon and George are already working on a season without the cannon breaking BS that KK brings as she says without having an understanding of the force t-shirts, "The Force is FEMALE", she's giving Rey the finger, SW fans the finger, George the finger and worst of all any female who has supported her the finger. SW is about a relationship between a father and his son, even if he doesn't know his son. Because of this relationship it became bigger, SW was never and not intended to limit itself by race, gender or even species, the Force was available to all, but KK doesn't know this because of her extreme agenda.

@@luketimewalker KK has been fighting against season 2 because she won't have creative control this time around and can not push her agenda. It's a good thing that Bob Chapek has more power than her and has green lighted it and George is already co-writing the 2nd season.
