They're manipulative, controlling and there's a phycological element to it that prevents the victim from just leaving. The cycle of an abuser is really difficult to get out of. What bothers me is not that she can't just leave for herself, but that there are children involved. I think what's important is that they're there to get help and I hope she does for her and her kids first and foremost before those kids turn into victims as well.

@@skinsey85 I agree, in early 2020(January 13), I got robbed. Three guy robbed me but get this. I knew they were trying to hurt me because they started to throw punches and got into a fighting distance but my dumbass knowing I could've escaped without really any major harm went back to them because they said they were joking but they only said that so they could lure me back in to rob me for another attempt. Although, for years I was like when someone is about ro get robbed, just leave and don't be stupid to go back to them. But until I actually got put into that situation, I didn't do what I thought I would've easily did. Sometimes we all have ideas of how we would repsond in a situation until we actually come with it face to face. Although this was irrelevant it still is a valid case of sometimes you never kbow how you'll react until you are actually in the situation.

There’s more talk about hair than the actual situations and one that has not been discussed It’s called Emotional Abuse. This is worse than physical abuse. Natasha has to get into a good DV educational group and learn how the layers of emotional abuse can be just as serious as the scar tissue found in Josh’s brain. I’ve always been kind and mild tempered but in college or at the ages of 21 and 22 something changed inside me… i was so depressed and moody and could NOT deal with the stress. I had never said I swear word in my life (because I was genuinely not that miserable or angry). But I ended up being a ticking time bomb and I’d say things to my bf that were so mean along with emotionally falling apart or freezing with anxiety…. I never threatened to hurt him like this husband has, but I was in soooo much pain and I wanted others to feel it too (without realizing it at the time). I’d also would really flare up while driving and say terrible things behind the wheel. I ALWAYS felt sooooo guilty. I knew that what I was saying I didn’t really mean, but I couldn’t stop it once it started. Despite the shame and guilt, I couldn’t seem to control it… Everyone saw that I had changed too…. But that bf dumped me, rightfully so I suppose because it’s taken me a decade to get “Better.” But I guess what I’m saying, to a point, I understand where this man is coming from. For me, personally, I NEVER wanted to hurt anyone, especially those who I loved dearly, but such heavy emotions took over me so it seemed. …

Even if this is due to a brain injury, it’s not safe for his wife and children to live with him. It may not be safe for them to associate with him at all.
