My father avoided doctors like the plague. He ate everything in moderation, exercised daily, kept his mind active, rode his motorbike into his 80's. He relied on honey, lemon and Whisky for all respiratory ailments. After bleeding from his bowel was discovered in his early 80's he relented and went to a doctor, diagnosed with bowel cancer. At the insistence of family he underwent an operation to remove the cancer, was tentatively given about 6 months. He refused chemo or any other treatment and went about his days the same as always, he survived almost 6 years. He was 86 when he died.

Interesting; I am not convinced that chemo is the right treatment for most people. My parents were the same, having cancerous growths removed and no subsequent chemo. My father passed, but not of cancer; and my mum is still going strong.

More people die from cancer trreatments than the actual cancer. And more people die WITH cancer than from cancer. Cancer is the body's inability to detox properly. As you age, your detox pathways, lymph, kidneys, liver, and bowels slow down and get clogged up with all the gunk of a lifetime. I am dying from the fact doctors know nothing about basic human physiology. I nearly died twenty years ago because few doctors know what pregnenolone is. I, along with thousands of others were poisoned with the antibiotic chloramphenicol. Then more recently I was poisoned by antibiotics in hospital that shut down my body's ability to make L-carnitine. Doctors have no idea what L-carnitine is. I have been dying for eleven years from the lack of L-carnitine and figured that fact out myself after a CT scan and a doctor who literally shrugged his shoulders at all my health issues. When I got home from the hospital I did research based on the scan and figured out I had been poisoned with an antibiotic again. I saw a neurologist a few weeks ago. Sadly she had no idea what L-carnitine is and did not even know what pregnenolone does in the body.

Sorry that you had to go through all of that and that your life was in severe distress due to incompetent medical quacks. That's the allopathic med industry, based on descartes/ newtonian science that each ailment or dis-ease should be treated separately and not be treated holistically. But perhaps you had to be on this medical rollercoaster so that you could become aware/conscious and responsible for your own health & life. It can only get better from here as you now know that you can find the answers you need.

@m.j.2939 not true if you find a good chiropractor (I've seen many and all but one I've had have been scammers only concerned with making me more appts) Once I found one that actually knew their job. AND I FOLLOWED THEIR INSTRUCTIONS (stretched and certain exercises) my back which ever since I was 16 ISH has given me pain 99.9% Is my life. But since I've not had any back issues in the last 15 years (in my 50's now) so while I agree they CAN BE a waste.. they can also be very good.

I am genuinely scared about emergency healthcare in Christchurch and pray my family and I will not need it. Not only is the blood bank contaminated but the "care " in Christchurch hospital is practically non existent. I nearly died of a diverticular haemorrhage a few years ago after being diagnosed with haemorrhoids and sent home. There was a ten hour wait to see a doctor in Bealey Ave Emergency when my 2 year old got a dog bite on the face. We ended up going home and treating and taping the wounds by ourselves.

Last time I went to the Emergency room (very expensive here in the US) the doctor told me my violent vomiting could've been caused by anything. No s hit Sherlock, I could've told him that myself without having an MD degree. Never asked me what I had eaten. He then proceeded to give me antivomit medication. A few days later i realized on my own that I was probably lactose intolerant and bought cheap OTC pills that solved my problem. Not the 1st time my interaction with a dr was unproductive.

How true about the statistics. Many of us are avoiding going into our doctors surgeries and public hospitals. Examples we’ve had of going in with one complaint, put on drugs which at best do nothing and at worst produce worse symptoms only to get out with even more issues, like Covid and other virus like symptoms. The whole system is collapsing as it was not meant to deal with the increasing negative issues with people’s health at this time in history. Learning about health oneself and improving to the degree you are able with lifestyle and better eating helps us more. Alternative therapies help us more too.
