One thing people should be aware of with NAC- If you're on any kind of daily medications, as a powerful antioxidant, it detoxifies the system, potentially flushing a large amount of the medication out of your system. In overdose or poisoning, this is the whole point. But if you depend on any medications taken regularly, it can make the blood levels of your medication fluctuate as it flushes it out of your system. Just wanted to make people aware of this. I take both NAC & thyroid medication. I just take them several hours apart & that helps keep my thyroid medication level more stable.

Best advise I've seen from MANY sources other than this...best advice is...that poor farming practices have so depleted the soil that there are few minerals and nutrients transferred into foods in the United States. Also, supplements are now considered essential in anti-aging protocols. MANY sources also say that NAC is effective in reducing "Spike Protein." If it's true that production of Spike can be affected by reducing the cycle of inflammation or by some other mechanism, i.e. effect on HEEM oxygen carrying potential, and also "blood stickiness," then U.S. docs recommending NAC makes total sense...that docs, here in the U.S. are advocating for daily NAC or at least NAC in a rotation, and not just when "down" with lung diseases.

@@larrywix9812 I can't say that's been my thyroid group's experience, but then people swear that iodine also reduces the need for thyroid hormone when you're hypo and that's not true in the majority of patients my groups found, but it is true in SOME. Same with Low Dose Naltrexone for some patients, it would reduce the needed dosage, but for most it would not. Either way most people are not optimal with their thyroid meds.

@@Rakealia very interesting findings with your group! I wondered about iodine. I have Thyroiditis and a calcified (solid) nodule and goiter. Iodine did not help, nor did synthetic or natural thyroid meds. Is this a FB thyroid group? Can you share where I might find the group? Thanks so much!
@Rakealia2 жыл бұрын
@@L.J.01 TWAKI, they close on weekends but are open during the weekdays on FB. It's also how you do iodine and how you do the thyroid hormones, cause 99+% of doctors are clueless. Like with iodine, the dosage, the companion nutrients, etc... they heavily matter in your success. Same with the hormone, and if iron or adrenals are even a tiny bit off, getting optimal on thyroid meds is a pipe dream without addressing them. And well... it's the majority that have those issues too. :/ Issues not even remotely tested properly for, etc.

Dr. Bailey, In your Glutathione video you suggest only eating "free range" chicken eggs. I am uncertain as to classifications in New Zealand, but here in the USA "free range" is a misleading advertising slogan. It sounds as if these hens are living in "pasture raised" conditions, but they are not. "Pasture raised" hens live free out-of-doors and may be frequently rotated through different paddocks to keep their natural food supply plentiful and fresh. These hens also receive grain supplements which may or may not be Non-Gmo as well. These eggs are a bit more expensive, but worth every penny. Thanks for the education you are providing me, please keep up the great work.

I’ve been taking NAC off and on for 10 years to help lung disease. I get it through a catalog supplement store. Swanson. 600 mg. I hope I am getting the real thing and not wasting my money.

NAC was also used with success in a study showing that it helps people on the Autism Spectrum with repetitive "stimming" behaviors, as well as people with OCDs (i.e. chronic hair pullers or skin pickers).
@melissahood29603 жыл бұрын
Makes sense because it helps anxiety, a big reason for stimming.

Please let me correct you there, OCD is slightly different from body focused repetitive behaviour (hair pulling/skin picking) I have both diagnoses (mild form) and I take NAC for those. It helps

@glendaanderson4969 Жыл бұрын
@NaturalMystic71 I stopped taking soon after that post because the taurine triggers my lupus symptoms. But I recently went back to NAC and it caused the same headaches... found reddit posts about the same complaints. As well as people taking straight up glutathione. Sucks. The headaches are too debilitating to wait them out for detox.

I found an energy boost the next day when I started NAC. It was a bit of a game changer moment for me at he age of 52. I would recommend anyone in middle age who feels 'over the hill' to try some . It is really cheap too. I combine it at the moment with a collagen supplement for other amino acids to help make glutathione.

I used NAC during the peak of Covid-19. When the FDA made noise I did stock pile it as I knew that Covid-19 would return. As an antioxidant I believe it’s very protective. I’m older with many co-morbid issues and think since it’s not likely to cause side effects at moderate doses it’s safe. Please also see MedCram posts regarding NAC if you have questions as Dr S gives detailed information regarding this intervention.
