Korean sunscreens changed my life! I’ve never liked the feel of sunscreen on my skin and how sticky it can get after application; Korean sunscreens apply like a dream and leave my skin feeling like…….skin. I’ve tried about 15 different Korean sunscreens and while there are some I prefer over others, I’d definitely use all of them.
@lukastemberger7 ай бұрын
Hi! I ordered a few and can't wait to try them. For now my go-to were European brands Alverde and Balea for the nicest feeling sunscreens... As a guy, I want a sunscreen that's as matte as possible, I don't want to have dewy, glass skin. Can you recommend one that is the most matte from the ones you've tried? Thanks!
@thealterego46847 ай бұрын
@@lukastemberger As a guy, I also don't like sunscreen making my face shiny. I am currently using Korean brand Isntree's Hyaluronic Acid Watery Sun Gel. It's great all around but still leaves a little shine. A workaround I have found is using the company Anthony's Instant Fix Oil Control. It reduces shine in general, whether from oily skin or (as I've discovered) from sunscreen. I let the sunscreen dry down, then apply the Instant Fix over it. Works great, and a little goes a long way. This way, I am not too concerned whether the sunscreen is shiny or not because I know the Instant Fix will really cut the shine down.

Try the Haru Haru black rice sunscreen. Has a more matte finish.

If you have oily skin, consider trying the European version of Eucerin's Oil Control Dry Touch Sun Gel - Cream (NOT the Americn version). It has a true matte finish, and it helps reduce facial shine throughout the day. My skin looks better after I apply that sunscreen.

I turned 40 and I'm doing everything mentioned here :) I've been learning and building up to it for a few years and now my skin looks better than when I was 30. I also got Panasonic Vitalift RF about a month ago and I'm getting incredible results.

This device seems very interesting... What kind of results did you see?
@lukastemberger7 ай бұрын
@@liviusss It has 4 functions - RF, EMS, LED and ION. Let me give you a little review here :) ION is a permeability increasing function and you can use it every day. I thought I would see the least results from this one, but when using it, I can see instant results when comparing to the side of the face I haven't used it on. It really feels like it makes the product penetrate and the skin feels plumped up. LED - I can't really speak on this as it's supposed to be seen after long term use. I don't think I'll be able to say if any effects come from it or something else. It's very bright though! EMS - I use it in conjunction with RF and at level 2 (out of 3) it's already almost too strong for me still. Again, muscle toning is a long term game. RF - since I can only handle level 2 when used with EMS twice a week, I also use it on its own at level 3 once a week. After every single use I can see improvements! A month ago I had three visible forehead lines and now I have two and they're less pronounced. Immediately after use my skin feels firmer to the touch. Bouncier and harder. Can't really describe it, but when you touch your skin every day, you can definitely feel these changes. There is also an eye care RF function and that shows the most results. After using it, the undereye skin is just way smoother. It looks like I just woke up from a 12 hour sleep :) I've been using adapalene for 3 years and then Tretinoin in the last 6 months. Great results and this device feels like it's really accelerating them.

What really helped me is The Ordinary's pink Barrier Serum and Azelaic acid in silicone on top of it. I apply 0.05 directly to skin, then the serum 15min later and tap in some Azelaic acid over the serum to lock it in. If I smear it pills. No irritation that way.

When I first started with adapalene, my skin loved it. I used it for a couple years regularly. In the last year though my skin has gotten too sensitive to it. Even if all I use is a pea size amount every few days, it's still too irritating. I break out in redness and tiny white postules and it take a few days to heal from that. I've had to downgrade to the CeraVe retinol. It's only been about a month but so far, no irritation andI am seeing a slight difference so I guess that's what I'm sticking with.

Very comprehensive! As you mentioned, budget is a big factor. It’s VERY expensive. I make a decent living but cannot budget $4-5K per year ($450+/month) for treatments. Maybe I’m wrong, but I suspect the mark up for Botox is around 200-300%. I had it done twice. The second time it barely worked. Maybe I need Dysport instead, but it’s an expensive trial. It’s not like I got a refund on the $700.
