I wanted to share an experience I had today. In the mornings I always enjoy the light that streams through my loungeroom window. I always find it beautiful and magical so I walked towards it. Stuck on the window is a colourful transparent picture of Our Lady. I placed it there because even though it is merely plastic, I thought the light might shine through it and colour the room and I wanted Our Lady to have pride of place in my home. As I stood there I all of a sudden smelt cinnamon. I looked around to see if I had left anything out that could create that aroma but I don't really have anything of cinnamon. I just brushed it off as one of those things. Just now, as i was preparing to pray the Rosary I thought to just type in the computer Our Lady and the scent of cinnamon. I was not expecting to read a reference there. "Of this St. Jerome saith: "Because she was filled with the many odors of the virtues, there came forth from her a most sweet odor, rejoicing the angelic spirits." Of this odor she herself, glorying, could use the words of Ecclesiasticus (XXIV, 20): "I gave a sweet smell like cinnamon and aromatical balm." The good odor of Mary was like cinnamon externally, in the rind of her conversation; like aromatical balm interiorly, by the unction of her devotion; like myrrh, in the bitterness of her suffering. The good odor of Mary was also like cinnamon in her deeds; like balm in her contemplation; like myrrh in her sufferings." So then I decided to look up St. Jerome as I don't know about him and this is what I found. "Jerome, also known as Jerome of Stridon, was a Latin priest, confessor, theologian, and historian; he is commonly known as Saint Jerome. Jerome was born at Stridon, a village near Emona on the border of Dalmatia and Pannonia. Jerome is best known for his translation of most of the Bible into Latin and his commentaries on the whole Bible" Well last Sunday was the very first time I watched the Latin Mass. I had been dead against it as I stressed about not understanding what was going on but I loved it. Thankyou Dr. Marshall. You do good work.

@@lenorepaduano5088 Amazing! Love to hear about these experiences. A Deacon who taught Theology said I should ask Jesus to reveal himself to me, one day the sun was shining so bright I looked out the window and did as he told me and had no expectations it was amazing what I saw I can’t even put it into words. I only told my mom, sister and I think I told the Deacon I am sure I did I can’t remember if I did or not. I lost contact with him sadly. He gave me much Spiritual guidance. I regret I took it for granted. God bless you! That was like 7 years ago. I don’t generally share as I have in the past and got some nasty things said to me. Demanding I take it down etc yet they believe the tv. I don’t understand those who have no belief I mean I know you have to discern what people say and it could have been my imagination I only know what I saw. It was the most beautiful sight I literally dropped to me knees. Viva Christo Rey 👑. I wish I knew Latin I love to listen to Latin. This is beautiful.

@@cindymmc.2869 Wow, that is so beautiful. I know what you mean about being hesitant to share. I agree but I kind of just wanted to shout it to the world lol I was so happy and in awe. Also I think Dr. Marshall is working hard to draw people to Our Lady especially in this time when her warnings about the mistakes of Russia being repeated seem to be unfolding. The Rosary is more important than ever.

@@kathleen7849 I am the same! Honestly, I know how you feel when I had this experience I never felt so much love and peace in my life. I could look straight into the sun and it didn’t bother my eyes normally I wear sunglasses all the time. I was going through a lot of spiritual experiences the reason I would meet with the Deacon which is actually across the street from me. But, things changed when the priests changed. Yes, I know what you mean it is hard to even describe but, it was beautiful. The Rosary is my weapon I love the Rosary. Amen shout it out to the world. So many are having great graces that can only come from Heaven. I knew I could tell my mom and sister as I pretty well tell them anything and my sister has had a few experiences herself. My grandmother had gifts but, she never talked about it to us her Priest would have known and my grandad. She would run to her parish if she had shouted at birds who popped on her just clean windows. She would say I need a lift to confession now. It was sort of funny.

I just noticed that the links I had saved for these Mysteries have stopped working! The first time I noticed was 8/25/23 and again today (9/2/23) with the Glorious Mysteries! I checked on the Joyful and Sorrowful and those are also slightly different, so I saved those also! I have been using this Latin Rosary since you started it, Dr. Marshall, and it has been a Godsend for me! (I recently had to speed it up, because I could say it faster!) My husband (we are both cradle Catholics, but I am slightly older, and remember the pre V2 Latin Mass, but he doesn't.) Our parish started TLM on 1st Friday evenings several years ago, and I attended until my eyesight got too bad to drive! I could not convince my husband that it was something he needed to try! But, last night, he went with me!!! Thank you, Dr. Marshall! You are leading souls closer to God! ❤️🙏

Taylor Marshall's second half of the Fatima prayer is the modernist version. The original traditional words of BVM’s Fatima prayer: “O my Jesus forgive us! Save us from the fire of hell. Relieve the souls in Purgatory, especially the most abandoned.” Refer to Page 140 & Pages 75-76 of “The Rosarian’s Handbook of the Society of The Rosary Altar” Oct 1,1942 Imprimatur +Francis J. Spellman, D.D. Archbishop of New York In Latin: “O mi Iesu. Dimitte nobis debita nostra. Libera nos ab igne inferni. Subvenire animas in purgatorio, præsertim eas quæ maxime destituo.” The second half of the Fatima prayer specifically refers to the souls in Purgatory. Modernists later removed any reference to Purgatory because it would "offend" Protestants.

August Queen of the Heavens, heavenly sovereign of the Angels, Thou who from the beginning received from God the power and the mission to crush the head of Satan, we humbly beseech Thee to send Your holy Legions, so that under Thy command and through Thy power, they may pursue the demons and combat them everywhere, suppress their boldness, and drive them back into the abyss. Who is like God? O good and tender Mother, Thou will always be our love and hope! O Divine Mother, send Thy Holy Angels to defend me and to drive far away from me the cruel enemy. Holy Angels and Archangels, defend us, guard us. Amen. Prayer dictated by Our Lady to Venerable Father Louis Cestac - founder of the Congregation of the Servants of Mary, on 13 January 1863. The prayer received the Imprimatur from the local Bishop; was recommended to the faithful by Pope Pius IX; and later indulgenced by Pope Leo XIII and also by Pope St. Pius X.

@@4America2024 thanks be to God! 🙌 I started cancer treatment mid January after putting it off a year because of hubby's employment situation and my not trusting the surgeons I was sent to. Had 6 cycle chemo till late April, surgery mid June, radiotherapy to late August 15 doses over 3 weeks, and recently have started hormone therapies for 5 and 10 years. Daily pill for 5 years and 4-weekly gut implant shot for 10 years. I start that tomorrow, have taken the pill 11 times so far. The protein blocker treatment will finish early Feb after 17 3-weekly doses are completed. I started those with chemo so there were 11 doses left after that. It went from being intravenous drip to a sub cut thigh jab. I had 2 chemos and 2 protein blockers all at once to start. All with a myriad of side-effects, but I've no choice but to keep working the whole time and I've 3 sons with Autism and ADHD with no support from family, or very little. So just hubby and me, a few trusted friends, whichever family makes an effort, and God, Whom never fails to provide. I pray only to suffer better so that it will not be for nothing. I don't expect to die, I can't really, only I really can care for my boys properly. Hubby tries but he's on the spectrum also and has poor health for many reasons. A long story. But since my surgery in June he's taken me to work and helped me with 99% of the jobs I do fortnightly, and he does all the grunt work while I do the details 😅 I may not be 100% and probably worse to come (there's talk of more surgery if I can't handle the 4-weekly implants, and maybe the pill side-effects will settle down over time - I really can't take time off work so I'll just have to persist with the implants and hope for the best). Yes, God alone helps us in all things. I only wish I could serve Him as well as He does us in our humble difficult life 😔 He must help us more in that department - more grace please Lord! Thank You. Amen, and all glory to Thee 🥰 Happy to hear you have a good quality of life in spite of everything and an excellent outlook! God will continue to bless us I'm sure 🌹

Yes, I was struck by some of art that I have not seen before, the resurrection in red for example. I also thought of a rosary gallery to switch out for the corresponding mysteries of the day; haha” great minds…”. addentum I deeply appreciate beautiful religious art more & more these days. I find that I’m becoming biased! As of late, my taste towards subject matter in all forms of art; be it visual, audible, performance expression is, well, discriminating. I want only to know and love the story of our salvation and all the Holy figures in it! Centrally, of course The Holy Trinity and Truth, and all that is good, beautiful and true. People who produce promote or consume unholy, secular, benign or sensational stuff, ought to discern the wisdom and purpose in that _ says One who has recently been illumined and convicted in such things!” wink

Fr. Gruner is aware of the Luminous Mysteries but not add them. The reason is simple. The Fatima Apostolate is all about the Fatima Message and Father Gruner will no add or change anything to that message. Our Lady of Fatima asked the children to pray the Rosary, the 15 decades. "The Traditional Rosary" and recommending that one pray "the Psaltery of Our Lady -- 150 Hail Mary's." The reference to the Psaltery is telling, for the traditional Rosary is modeled on the ancient Psalter of 150 Psalms: 150 songs to Mary; fifty Aves for each of the triad of mysteries -- the joyful, the sorrowful, the Glorious; a triune prayer address to the Mother of God. The reference to the Psaltery is telling for another reason: It is indirectly an unfavorable comment on the "new" Rosary of John Paul II, which added five "luminous" mysteries, and thus 50 more Aves, to the traditional Rosary. That makes a total of 200 Aves, which would destroy the Rosary's ancient correspondence to the 150 Psalms of the Psalter; the Rosary would no longer be "the Psaltery of Our Lady." Then, of course, the "new" Rosary would no longer be triune, but rather would have four parts involving 50 Aves each: Joyful, Sorrowful, Glorious, and "Luminous." The Joyful Mysteries: Mondays, Thursdays also Sundays from beginning of Advent until Lent. The Sorrowful Mysteries: Tuesdays, and Fridays also Sundays during Lent. The Glorious Mysteries: Wednesdays and Saturdays also Sundays from Easter until Advent.

Where's the Luminous Mysteries?
@tashamaree
@tashamaree 23 күн бұрын
Trads don't use them because they are modern and contradict the Mary's Psalter (150 psalms, 150 Aves). They used to be Pater's in the beginning. It kinda stuffs up the order of Joyful, Sorrowful, Glorious, repeat, then Glorious again Sunday. Luminous can be personal reflection, but not necessary to the Rosary as I understand.

I appreciate the effort. But it’s too quick for me. I like my Rosary to be a slower pace, to relish every word. I would have appreciated a small contemplation at the beginning of each decade. Oh well, I’ll keep searching. Why do people say Latin rosaries so quickly????
@filipsimic5650
@filipsimic5650 3 жыл бұрын
For me it’s rather on the slow side 😂 I think people are saying it quickly because Latin is such a “flowing” language. I personally like the flow of Latin and Croatian for praying the rosary. German is also alright, but not as the other two languages I know. I could never imagine myself to pray it in English tho, would feel weird.

@@filipsimic5650 I hear what you’re saying Filip. I enjoy praying the Rosary in Latin. I have to concentrate and think of every word. Whereas, in English, my mother tongue, it is too easy just to rattle it off without paying attention to every word. It’s easy to forget that these are prayers, conversations with the Divine, not mantras, or chants that contain some magic, or incantations that are said simply for the sake of saying them. These are petitions, and should be addressed as such. Every word has meaning, and should be applied as one would in any conversation with a loved one. If my own children came to me with a request, I would be far more attentive to their plight if it were addressed to me in a manner that’was at the very least, respectful and coherent. I think we should all try and aim for that when conversing with Our Lord, and Our Blessed Mother. Wouldn’t you agree Filip?

Dr. Marshall, thank you for inspiring us to pray the Rosary in Latin. I pray along with this video daily. I’m happy to watch ads before and after the prayer to support your channel. Would it be all possible to remove the ads in the middle of the rosary. It’s been quite distracting whilst I pray with you. These ads has be made visible in the last 10 days. Thank you for your consideration and your work in spread the Gospel of Our Lord and the devotion to His Mother, the Queen of Heaven and Earth!!!
