I am relieved to now know this and also upset that none of my doctors prior to my new DNP who has a direct primary care practice even mentioned this. I asked them to double check the thyroid labs and asked why I feel this way and had all kinds of antidepressants thrown at me over the years. 😠☹️☺️

It’s great that she’s giving out this information, but she isn’t accepting patients or referring any doctors which leaves most of us back at ground zero. What good is this knowledge if we can’t find a qualified doctor to help us? It’s so frustrating. I’ve seen several doctors, all miseducated about testosterone. I’ve done the research to find a “good” doctor who can give results and it’s damn near impossible, and the few who are good are overwhelmed with patients and it’s impossible to get an appointment.

I am seeing a direct primary care DNP who is treating me. All labs are completed and I start conservative hormone pellet therapy soon. Good luck.

I am just doing my Moms HRT myself, illegally. Testosterone and estrogen are out there. I find what she shares fairly useful although she never actually links to any studies.

Fantastic! Finally someone is talking about it, my whole life all op GYNs and Endocrynologjsts were claiming ‚ women does not need testosteron” 😢 As for the technicalities, what is one cannot lift weights? We are told by doctors that if one have hip replacements - one cannot carry weight nor train with weights 😳😳 any thoughts or suggestions on that?
@Augerama25 күн бұрын
I had a hip replacement and lift heavy weights and wasn’t told not to. My new hip is stronger than ever.

Hi there! Thanks for getting this information out there! Quick question about vitamin D... I am consistently low, even though I eat well and supplement. Of note, I don't tan. I have red hair & blue eyes with a history of melanoma. What are your thoughts on how someone like myself can increase vitamin D levels? Should I consider a possible issue with absorption abilities?
@bobdec666510 ай бұрын
Melanoma is not caused by the sun. Melanoma is usually found on parts of the body that are never in the sun. Get some sun just dont burn

I have been suffering from fairly debilitating pain in my sacroiliac joint for several years. I'm 39. Never injured it. A sacroiliac belt enables me to get on with my life but all it took was for me to forget to wear the belt one time and do 10 squats and I was right back to square one! I couldn't understand why my body seemed to starting to fall apart... I'm now convinced it's due to low testosterone.

Dr i never heard of shin hairloss as a symptom of low t but you nailed it,,i already knew i had very low free test although my total wasnt too bad at 500 but i had less than 1 percent free t,,went to a nurologist because scratches or insect bites were not healing along with the hairloss on my legs,,he immediately without any testing said you have periferal artery disease ,lolololol,,i did have that ruled out on my own,but clearly it was the low t,was also dealing with joint pain,, all is gone but it was your shin hairloss that woke me up,,i have never heard that from any dr,,thankyou

Ive been on Test cyp 20ml a week for 3 yrs. Iam 55 yrs old i feel incredible. But my trainer wants my estrogen super low 75. I dont think thas good...what do you recommend for estrogen when on test??
@mrofnocnon4 ай бұрын
You mean 20 mg of test a week? Enanthate would be better. Women, like men aromatize testosterone into estrogen to maintain a balance. too low an estrogen level can lead to joint issues.
@joeblow95484 ай бұрын
Is rest all you take since test will provide estrogen do you take that alone or do you add estrogen and progesterone
@mrofnocnon4 ай бұрын
@@joeblow9548 Best having these hormones checked and then rechecked after testosterone. You are right estrogen is made from testosterone, especially if you are overweight, progesterone opposes estrogen. All the hormones need to be in balance. Progesterone may or many not be needed.

I cannot find anyone to prescribe testosterone my GYN says it can be added to the biote pellet. But I don’t think I want to go that route. I signed up with MIDI to get HRT but they won’t provide testosterone neither. Not sure if anyone can recommend any telemedicine practices.
