my brother died of a heroin overdose on feb 4 on 2015. He had a good job, he was my older brother by 15 years. I tried to help as well but to no avail. There is no easy answer but I am very thankful every time I see that my local law enforcement makes a drug arrest of a heroin dealer. Thank you for sharing your video. God bless

Losing someone to an addiction is hard enough let alone to find them deceased.. thats so traumatizing and my heart goes out to this family. I am so sorry for the both of you. Its so hard but all you gotta do is take it one day at a time. If anyone else is reading this and can relate to the story. Keep your head up. Dark days dont last forever. Grief never ends though but You’re strong and im proud if you’re still here today after going through something like this.

I like how she talked about a hole that goes right through you that never closes up, but along with hole is a softening that comforts you along with that hole. Good message.

Thank you so much for sharing your family's story. My family went through a very similar experience several years ago. You're right that there is always a hole that doesn't heal, and I love the way you describe so accurately how God's grace helps us so that hole isn't so raw and painful. Over the years, there is some peace to be found. I wish you that peace, and continued comfort. God bless you.

My 27 year old daughter died 2 weeks ago with a baby . She was suppose to deliver on 4/26. She had gone to a recovery meeting and gave her testimony. She was to go to a Christian rehab 2 days after her death. It's so difficult. If someone says they are going to rehab stay with them until they go. They do one last "run". This killed her.

The church has an AMAZING program, it is the ARP program, I am a walking testimony of the 12 step program, I only wish ALL of our church leaders would embrace it , and EVERY SINGLE Family would work this program together, this needs to be a part of the Sunday classes, it is as important as Temple prep or Gospel Doc, our families are being torn apart buy the pulls of this world, the 12 step program is the Gospel broke down into 12 steps that... IF followed will change EVERY aspect of your life....

It's easy to forget the sacrifices made by families of addicts, especially siblings who, in situations like this family, have to uproot their entire lives, in a desperate (often vain) attempt to get their loved one clean. I can't blame such brothers and sisters, no matter how loving, for having mixed feelings about leaving their friends behind because their parents are trying to accommodate an addicted child. Especially when they see relapse after relapse. In this family, like many, I am sure family members don't complain about the disruption outwardly, but they would be only human to feel a little bit pissed at their family's focus being almost entirely about the troubled child. Just about every episode of Intervention, one sees the brothers/sisters sitting with the counsellor rolling their eyes or looking weary at a missed childhood. And all because ofone momentarily stupid decision they didn't even make.

I here it all the time. Tough love kills the addicts. It only makes their pain worse. 👌. They felt alone when they started. Love and understand. If love is what u have for them. If not , don't cry and potty your loosening when their gone.
