Great speech. Nadelman hits on a ton of good arguments for drug policy reform, yet oddly enough, didn't have time for nearly all of them. There are sub-arguments which explain why marijuana does NOT cause automobile accidents, violence or intellectual failure. There are so many arguments which support drug policy reform, it would be impossible to describe them in 3 hours, much less 18 minutes. Good job Ethan!

What's remarkable is how many otherwise informed people think that the current drug schedules were the result of some reasoned analysis of the relative dangers of certain drugs. I'm talking judges, prosecutors, and law enforcement officers. They all think that some ancient wise men (of course they were men) sat down, looked at the array of available drugs, measured their harms and propensity for addiction, relative merits, and came up with the drug schedules. Such ignorance.
