I was skeptical that an anti-aging skincare regimen using drugstore products would be effective and show real results but I’m happy to say that I was wrong. I put together a daily routine using products recommended in this video and have been using them at the prescribed times each day and now after 1 month I really see improvement in my face. I went a bit further to include a total body moisturizer (using Cera Ve) and am happy with the way my skin looks and feels. Also, I use the vitamin C serum and Hydro Boost moisturizer each morning on my hands and then just the Hydro Boost at night and now after 30 days my hands look years younger. I am truly happy that I found this video and followed these simple steps and urge you all to try it out…even if you are as skeptical as I was.

I wrote to L'Oreal about their extensive animal testing in the 2000s. I had no hope they'd change after that, it was an even rude reaction from their rep. When I saw almost every product recommended here was L'Oreal or owned by them, I went back and checked and they no longer do animal testing with products or ingredients! Huge, positive change. Just in case anyone was wondering.

I just wanted to tell you that I accidentally but ironically came across your video! I just turned 40 and had a hysterectomy about a year ago. I'm not bragging but I have always had very clear and good skin. I used to have to wear makeup every day, and I know that you are going to cringe but my skin care routine used to be very simple. I would use rubbing alcohol to remove my makeup, usually dove soap to wash and a moisturizer. And I never had any problems with dryness and my foundation always looked flawless (this was at the time when it was foundation and powder only). I stopped using the rubbing alcohol years ago and started taking a way better approach to skincare. I have found many influencers on you tube recommending many different products. A few I have tried, I was treating my skin as dry/combo. My foundation was always cracking and breaking apart. I was at the chiropractor and I got up off the table and saw this huge oily spot on the paper and I started treating my skin as oily. Nothing has worked. So I talked to a skin care expert at Ulta and followed what she said and still defeated. Which leads me to your video, I really appreciate you sharing this information for many different reasons. I'm subscribing, then going shopping and I'm going to follow the routine you have shared, I will let you know how it goes, maybe you said it in the video but how long before I should see a difference in my skin after starting this? Again thank you for sharing your knowledge! 🤞this works!
@TheBudgetDermatologist3 жыл бұрын
Wow!! Good luck. Glad you ditched the rubbing alcohol haha. You will gradually see improvement in several different areas if you have the right products for your skin. First you will see improvement in moisturization (matter of days) and skin barrier health. Then you will see a brighter complexion as the chemical acids kick in (days to weeks). Then lastly, it takes a bit longer to see dark spots and fine lines fade which happens over the course of closer to 6 months.

I had been looking for recommendations for a daily routine but all the ones I found were very complicated, very expensive, or with too many products at once, so I'm really happy I finally found this one, very easy to understand and with the specific type of products I have to use morning and night. I'm gonna put this into practice right away, thank you!! :D

Im so glad my routine has been correct. Morning: cleanser, moisturise/ suncream. Afternoon: reapply suncream. Night: cleanser, retinol( la roch posay redermic). For spots: salysilic acid and to brighten skin: vitamin c serum.
@lorenaxxx52 жыл бұрын
Message 2 of 2: so from what I understand with the newest videos, the ideal morning routine now might be: 1- wash skin (ideally with a chemical wash to boost vitamine C), 2- vitamine C, 3- Vichy mineral 89, 4- moisturize, 5- sun protection. I understand that there is always new amazing product that come on the market, so I understand that it’s extremely difficult to always adjust the video, so I would totally understand if you don’t do it. Thanks again for everything you are doing :D

literally my new favorite channel. Subscribed! I was standing in a CVS the other day, in front hundreds of skincare products, overwhelmed and not even sure where to start. I picked something based on the cool packaging, (how I choose my wine too 😆), which is clearly not a good way of approaching skincare. Your channel changes everything!

Hi Doc, I'm 70 and live in Australia. Years of being in the sun have done the damage to the extent that I have had skin cancers removed from my arms and face. My issue of course now is very dry skin especially on my legs. I have never worn make-up so the need to remove is not a concern. I'm super careful now being in the sun. I have droopy crepey skin. I'm on an aged pension so it's imperative that cost is my first concern. All I use to wash my face and body is "Goat soap" It's supposed to be pure. I know it doesn't have sulphates or parabens. I use E45 cream, ingredients are white soft paraffin, light liquid paraffin and wool fat. Because I live in Perth Western Australia I'm reluctant to use moisturizers every day as they make me hotter. Unfortunately also we pay a great deal more for products in Australia. Can you enlighten me if I'm doing the wrong thing using the above products and the best collagen product to help build some strength in my skin. Thanks Rosemary

Make sure you are following up closely with a dermatologist given your history of skin cancer! Your dermatologist should be able to give you specific advice for your unique skin condition and skin type to set you up with a personalized and effective routine. In general, one of my favorite and most effective products to build collagen in the skin is a retinoid. This comes in a prescription and over the counter forms. Ask your dermatologist which is right for you! I mentioned some of the drugstore retinoids I love in this video and linked them in the comments. Check them out! Good luck!

I have many sun-damage spots on my face. I started using anti aging dermalmd serum a couple months ago and I'm noticing big improvements, the spots are fading and are much less noticeable. I've had no irritation only improvement. I use a moisturizer over this serum, after it is soaked in. I'm very happy with this serum and will be continuing to use it everyday.

I am totally sold on Neutrogena. About 2 years ago, I decided to spend a little more than I usually do on skin care products. I bought 3 different Neutrogena products. A sunscreen, a night time lotion, and a day time lotion, or 'cream', if you prefer. I honestly thought, 'I doubt this will make much of a difference." Here to tell you, I am amazed. Their products work really well.

Stumbled upon this channel for the first time and I can’t thank you enough for the first part of this video. Thank you so much ❤️ Subbed!

You are so great! Been binge-watching your videos. I’ve watched Dr. Dray for years and while I still love her a lot, you’re a little less rigid in what you think works. It opens up more options and that’s really helpful.

I use RetinA prescribed by my dermatologist. It was so hard for me to use at first because you're only supposed to use a pea-sized amount and that's hard to spread over an entire face. Then the dryness and peeling hit. So this is what I do to take care of both problems. I use my normal amount of RetinA with my moisturizer. I mix them together with my fingers and apply to my face. Doing this helps me spread it all over my face and it moisturizes my face at the same time. It helped cut down on the dryness and peeling.

I use CeraVe Oil Cleanser and it’s brilliant 🤩 so gentle and removes every bit of makeup, leaving skin clean and hydrated. I struggle with sensitive skin and I’ve had Perioral Dermatitis in the past, so I’m verrrry careful with what I introduce to my skin care routine. I also use La Roche Posay Toleriane Cream, another very gently yet effective product. For SPF I use foundation every day, and it has a built in sun factor protection.
