True. And the so called high is not worth it. Can get scary really really fast. Has no legs. Can turn on you on a dime, so to speak. Same here with the chronic pain of several medical conditions I have. Nothing helped me except dilauded. I guess my doctor received a warning about this med because of the actions taken to fight the war on opioids. I did not go through any withdrawal from the dilauded stop - and have never done any street drugs in my life. After waiting 4 months, I am now on some kind of opioid/antagonist medicine which isn’t supposed to be addicting. Its name is Belbuca. After 4 months I’m already at the max dose of 900 mg and I might as well be taking 2 Motrin. They said this was their last option. Like a lot of people with chronic pain - I can’t Imaging living the rest of my 44 year life in pain like this. I’d rather become dependent on a drug and feel better. I Was/still am in agony every day and am just waiting for ANYTHING I could be rx’d to cut some edge off the 24/7 severe pain. Don’t these lawmakers and doctors have any fighting back power to allow hydromorphone when it is clearly needed? It’s like I’m in a dream and can’t understand this cruel and totally avoidable pain🥺. This drug is absolute heaven when taken IV. I have a tumor in my chest that occasionally eats into my brachial plexus and puts me in horrific pain. I go to the ER on very bad days for these shots because at that point even strong pills can’t touch it. The IV injections are _looooooovely._ I can literally feel my brain fizzing when I’m flying in the clouds. Pain relief is why I go and I’ve a legitimate medical reason, but hell if I don’t love the side effects of this drug. The warmth flowing through your body, the warm blanket of contentment falling over you, the feeling of floating off the bed on a warm cushion near borderline unconsciousness. It’s like an elongated orgasm that lasts for hours, and I have no shame in admitting I savor every second of it when I need it.

I always have to take two of 2.6 mg initially to treat my pain due to tolerance.
@lol-ce1og5 жыл бұрын
It's probably because the pharma companies here in europe have higher restrictions and they're afraid of getting sued so they only offer low dose of instant release tablets because of people with zero tolerance. I wish our docs here in europe would be as cool and calm as the docs in the us - I suffer from painful neuropathic pain and I was treated over two years with low dose opioids like hydrocodone until my doc realized that I'm taking my medication responsible *then* after two years of pain and sleepless nights, I finally got dilaudid prescribed. Oral oxycodone is way better than oral dilaudid because the bioavailability of oxycodone orally is super high, around 95-98% and dilaudid orally is maybe only around 40-50% if that.
