I think part of the reason he does the particular stick twiddling is (as well as looking cool af) is to help him maintain focus and the rhythm during the quiet bits especially when there are pyrotechnics going off around him. He has said that as the only stationary member of the band and it gets really hot and both him and his drums get cooked.

Yes finally You reached to my fav drummer. Domm as his name in the band is, are in my World a fantastic drummer, yet very underrated. His style is very different than others and that sets hus originality as a drummer. He have many influences, but in Rammstein he is the strong engine beating the pulse and tempo on his drums. Last year he signed an endorsement with DW and Sabian. They are a world known band and whenever they go on tour, its sold out so fast. The music, the highly skilled members of the band, the stage and not to forget the showmanship. All packed with theatrical moments, fire and fireworks they stand out as the very best. Doom is a beast.

You are right to pronounce the „ei“ in Schneider like the [ei]-Sound as in first pronoun I. Same goes with the „ei“in Rammstein though...

This guy plays like a machine with quantize to 100% and velocity to 127... :P I'm a big Rammstein fan but I would never hire this drummer for anything else than industrial metal...but still, he is GREAT at what he does, real tight and powerful.

Gotta request that you react to Jaki Leibezeit, drummer of Can who were among the most prolific bands in the 70s krautrock scene. They blended funk with psych rock and were quite experimental and unique. Try out Vitamin C, only 3 and a half mins long

Im not complaining, I was just very surprised by your song choice. It’s from 2009 and neither well known nor popular. Bands and their members evolve over time and I feel like judging Christoph’s skill by one of their weakest songs just isn’t ideal. There is a reason why their world tours sell out in minutes and that reason is not Bückstabü 😅 Your video isn’t bad, it just could have been more interesting if you picked a song that people actually know and one where the drummer actually can show more of his skill.

IMy brother loves that shit. Hes an extasy head from the 90's. Tried getting me into it. Ive heard a couple catch tunes from them. The vocalist sounds cool as fuck in some spots But that repetitious boring groove reminds me of a runaway garbage disposal from Maximum Overdrive! Aight Steve...how about some Robert Sweet of Stryper? Theres an untouched genre. Really a unsung drummer. Dude always had some badass Zakk Wylde themed sets. Or was it Zakk Wylde has Strypeer themed guitars? There is a story about his guitar euphoria theme...anywho...Robert is rock solid groove player.
