He’s a really good example of how far people can get with enough practice. I think almost everybody’s capable of not only developing incredible physical abilities like that, but of huge emotional and intellectual strength as well. I teach music, sciences, and math and from my experience, theres no such thing as being naturally good or bad at it. We just don’t approach education in most schools properly, it’s mind blowing what people can be capable of.

What can you say?! To call somebody THE BEST nearly isn´t possible because not everybody is doing the same thing or has the same goal in doing something except you follow ONE certain disciplin. To me El Estepario is one of the most spectacular and entertaining guys I´ve ever seen. I can see and feel the hard work and time he spent to be able to do what he is doing. And regarding the level he reached he obviously spent more time and dedication than others. But you have to admit playing that stuff one handed! is really on another level.

Literally there are unfound gods of everything out in the world and I'm glad we have platforms for them to showcase their skills. If there is a better drummer out there in the world I would quite literally think its impossible... but this proves that theory wrong at its core considering up to this point, skill like this was almost unheard of haha thedooo is another example, dude shreds guitar and would absolutely decimate 99.9% of guitarists but he was just a regular guy who made some youtube videos

Regarding what you say at the end about your expectations when practicing, recording, and so on: I found out that, having anxiety issues, if you have a bad day drumming, don't take it too hard and relax. Just don't play drums until you are mentally willing to do it for fun and because you really want to do it. That way, you will improve your technique, and you will learn more from that session.

The thing we miss in the “talent vs hard work” thing is that the ability to *DO* that degree of dedicated practice is itself a talent. The difference between prodigies and everyone else is that for one, they cannot stop practicing. Most people have to make themselves do it - set aside time, get in a headspace, sit down and mess about for a while, finally spend time on something hard (twss). They don’t. You don’t have to make them practice. You have to make them stop so they don’t die of starvation. The other thing is that they can’t stop working on things they can’t play. Most of us “practice” things we can already do. It sucks to fumble your way around. It’s more fun to sound good. We instinctively avoid things that make us feel bad about ourselves. Prodigies don’t do that. No matter how good they get, they hear what they *can’t* do. They hear the mistakes no one else does AND they will spend hours relentlessly stomping that to death until they can’t make that mistake again. And they keep doing that obsessively. That’s a talent. It’s not just found in music. The ability to pour hour after hour of yourself fully and completely into improving at something IS a talent. We all have the ability to put time into getting better at something. To get this extraordinary at something requires an extraordinary degree of that ability to do that work. What do we call a rare ability? Talent.

This was a really good one. Somehow I missed the notification when it came out a few months ago. I was watching another drummer react to one of his videos. And the guy doing the reaction talked about how his excuse for not being able to play certain covers was always that the drummer had more toms or more symbols, and he couldn’t possibly cover that. It was actually a pretty humble sort of forthright statement, which I think is probably true for a lot of us. Jorge didn’t care that his Kit looks like John Densmore from 1967, he just started practicing and now look what he can do. I’d like to know how many hours a day he plays. Do you know the Malcolm Gladwell book Outliers? The one where he talks about how it takes 10,000 hours to become a master of something. That all of the greatest people who we attribute tons of talent to, before we knew who they were they practiced for an inordinate amount of time. They say Eddie Van Halen was a complete recluse. He just stayed in his room and played guitar. I think this is a prime example of that. Great video my friend.

Talent and practice... the equation is to practice effectively for the duration necessary to achieve results with a realistic evaluation of progress and ability. Practice too long or too short, practice stuff you are good at, or solos where only 5% is stretching you and 95% is comfort zone all gets you moving but not fast enough for this kind of level. IMHO 12 hour practice people are probably only 1 hour effective - but they probably couldn't tell you which hour.

There are 3 things that explain this. 1. He is a freaking alien 👽. 2. He is a cyborg. 3. He is a mutant and is playing with prehensile tail. That’s what I have. Insane.

there is a video on the Siberiano's channel called "one day in the life" where he shows you a normal day in his life (allegedly). I think that this video explains a LOT!! bye, Andreas

the crazy thing about him, he cant read music or write it. He is also faster then the camera can catch sometimes. He said in this 1million sub video, he practiced for 8 hours a day for some period of time.

My theory is that he comes from an ancient civilisation that was trappe into the permafrost, unfrozen with climate change and came back with another identity, xcept he kept the "siberiano" to find back he's other godlike friends that came back to life, to form the best band on the planet. Prove me wrong.

Some drummers: “I’m gonna practice and cover some hard songs!” Some better drummers: “I can play these jams no problem” and they sound decent. Good drummers: “damn I’m gonna try one handed. Hold my beer.” El estepario Siberiano: “give me another beer, I have a free hand.”

His skills are out of this world! But to say he's the greatest drummer in the world.. check out Larnell Lewis that was invited by Snarky Puppy at the last minute to play for them and learned like 8 songs while flying in from the US to the Netherlands.. check the song lingus! I'm not a drummer but I shed a tear watching him play that arrangement for them!

It’s hard to say someone is the greatest. This guy though, everything is effortless. Like he’s thinking about what to make for dinner later. I think he has enough room in his mind to play with 4 arms if he had them lol

Can you tell how many hits that floor gets? It’s too fast! Singles, trips? WTH is going on? It is hours and years of drumming! He states in one of his earlier videos that a time came where he decided he wanted to be a pro drummer and states “that’s all he did” He dedicated his life to the drums and went from playing in garage bands to dedicating his entire life to practicing!
