It gave me chills. I can’t even imagine what it was like to witness that in person. The massive energy from the crowd must’ve been absolutely wild! What a legend. 🤘🏼

I saw them live once back in 2008 at the very first run of the Mayhem Festival……….he did perform this solos then and it was incredible to actually see in the flesh

Fun fact. The sticks he uses are made by Easton. It's a baseball bat company. They're aluminum with a replaceable polyurethane shaft. They're actually pretty heavy, especially the size he uses. Makes it even more impressive. At least to me it does lol.

These damn plastic pins broke all the time. Our drummer had these sticks and they weren't very good.

@@AFacemarkedbyFea oh they're terrible lol. The screw on tips broke constantly and they just didn't sound right. 35 bucks for a pair and really weren't anything special.

So glad to finally see this one come through. I loved this live DVD and used to drive all my friends crazy showing it to them. I believe that within the special features, there's 3 songs that you can choose which camera angle and watch one specific member (that's what she said 😉). Ever since Buddy Rich did his performance on the wheel that went into the air, rock drummers have emulated his innovation of a performance, even if they don't quite have the chops that he did. Thanks to you Andrew, the person who suggested, and the powers that finally allowed this to become unblocked. Cheers!

Andrew, I believe you’re referring to Joey hitting his 8” and 10” mounted toms (2 strokes per tom) near the end of his solo.

Oh my days. Many many years ago. Me, my dad, his best friend and his best friends son were traveling from Sweden to Germany. My dads car broke down at the border so we had to go back home. We had to take the train since we no longer had any car. I was listening to this album and this solo came on and upped the volume abit. My dads friend says to my dad; There is something wrong with the train, we should get off soon. I hear the bolts and screws. (He was freaking out). There I sit in my peace of the drumsolo and a few minutes in my dad pats me on the leg and I pause the music. (My dads friend realized it was my music) He laughed soooo hard out of relief. It is a great memory of mine

I recently found your channel about 2 weeks ago. Love it! I'm a big Black Sabbath and Rush fan along with anything heavy. Thought you might enjoy the band Metal Church. Not sure if you've heard of them but you'll be blown away. They have an album named Metal Church and a song named Metal Church. Beyond the Black is the first song and Metal Church follows it. I'll put this drummer up against anybody. Hope to see it on your channel. You won't be disappointed. Glad you found Sabbath. Bill Ward is the man. R.I.P. Thanks, George
