What a great clear review of the Alesis. Love how different it is with 66Samus when he does such reviews *the goofball* i got an e-kit as wel as normal kits. Just for rehearsing when needed and play not too loud in my neighbourhood. Keep up the good drumwork Andrew.

Glad you enjoyed it! I love 66Samus approach also! All the best on your journey. Keep us posted on how you get on 🤘

My goal this year is to save up enough money to buy the Nitro Pro. And this video just added another layer of confirmation. Thank you! Can't wait this would be my first drumset after so many years of wanting to be a drummer 🥁

I appreciate this phenomenal detailed review. I did purchase this already and it is on the way! Especially stoked after this video. You didn't mention, it does come with 90 day free trial of online lessons. As a snare player, I am extremely excited for this venture. This is the KIT! (for beginners in apartments) I will try to give you an update in a few weeks/months on how the progress goes as a beginner on a full set.

I only started drumming 2 months ago. I like it and I am looking for a e-kit right now. Seems that the alesis pro would be good purchase. Thanks for a clear and easy to understand review !!!

Including the sitting position, what sort of footprint would these take up? 4'x4' 5'x5' etc

I'm not a drummer (yet) but this was great to watch. Shocked at how inexpensive the drum kit is. Sounds great. Surprised also by the relatively small size of the kick drum. I bet a seasoned drummer can make even a crappy kit sound great. I wonder if a beginner should learn on an acoustic kit or e-kit? When I started learning guitar, I was told to begin with an acoustic, don't know why, but that's what I did. Also love Drumeo.
@nattauer6715Ай бұрын
I started on an ekit bc no one could hear me be bad, plus there’s a whole sound library so you can change kits up to keep it fresh, and I got lessons through Drumeo
@AndrewRooneyDrumsАй бұрын
Yeah there is a LOT of value here! Most people realistically do not have a choice (noise restrictions). On an e kit you can simply practice when/wherever 🙌

Thanks for the review! I like what I saw and heard - especially the part of stability. I´m a former drummer that just want to have some fun revivals. I´m really considering buying this kit. I would like an extra tom and crash though, and it seems the module is already adapted for that, right? As soon as I see the extension kit out, I´ll shop! :)

Expensiveness is always relative. Ive been researching E-kits for a while (I'll even buy one one day!), and I'm actually surprised at how cheap they can be... My hobbies include road cycling ($$$$), marine/reef aquariums ($$$$$$$), and I'm restoring a classic car ($$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$)...so, tell me again how I may be surprised at the expense of a drum kit 😂 I like these Alesis though, and they review very well. I have my eye on a Crimson II at $1495 Aussie. Very, very reasonable, in my view. Is this the beginning of Andrew Rooney Drums does Drum Kit Reviews?? 😎

sounded like there was a mini nirvana cover in there lol i had the predecessor to this kit and it looks to me they have beefed up that kick tower wich is good because mike sheared in hf lol i actually welded the frame back together and it was all good lol i had ot for 2 years something elese then broken cant remember but that eas fukly grown adukt playing basically a kids kit lol for 2 years so value for money for me is absolutely fantastic and especially with the kick pedal included and what i did was had a look on market place and seen another one virtualy new for sale i bought that and expanded my kit with the extra kit and made it a bigger kit and i then sold that on market place and wemt with the roland vad and the reason for doing so was for the high hat the vhd14 and its got the stand and pedal like the real thinf still not as good as metal but its pretty xlose of you uave tried one im sure you wouod agree but the alessis was a great starter kit for me

@AndrewRooneyDrums excellent 👌 drumming and not bad value for money the alessis
@lennyghoulАй бұрын
My only real complaint is the high hat pedal which sometimes has a mind of it's own, and the module closed hat sounds (the sound of the stick hitting the rubber is almost as loud as the hit even with the sensitivity maxed). I think they could have included a proper USB B to A cable instead of the sticks. I would have liked the Floor tom to be bigger. It's uncomfortably small. Over all I agree it's great value for what you get and I do enjoy it. Not sure if it's gig worthy without a Laptop and BFD software and such. Great for practice though.
