It has been one of the jewels of my career working with Stanton Moore and helping him build and grow the SONO brand. These truly are excellent drums and when I make them for Stanton I pour my heart and soul into each one.

That titanium sounds fantastic, brilliantly played

When you feel like your not inspired anymore, reach for one of these....The drums nearly play themselves. Out of this world tone and sensitivity! When I fist played the titanium model at 4.5" depth I was stunned at how versatile it was. I thought you couldn't rock out with a shallower drum like this. I was pleasantly mistaken. Stanton's the bomb and he can play a lot "Moore" than the New Orleans style. Check out his stellar performance on Corrosion of Conformity's "In the Arms of God"!

And the winner is: the titanium! Holy chisel, that is one terrific instrument. Full disclosure, I am a Canopus Drums endorser, but like a rarely straying spouse, maybe the Japanese “wife” would understand just this once?? It’s one of the warmest, fattest metal drums I’ve heard yet. Then again, I am still very much in love with my Canopus aluminum ROF 2, so probably no need to stray, in actuality. But man, I really like these snare drums. Then again, Stanton could play a tin trash barrel and make it sound incredible…

great sound of these two snare drums ... but the bas drum has a harmonic that looks as if it were accompanied by an acoustic bass
