Ya know? I'm 56 yrs old. I began drum lessons at 5 yrs old. I was just getting into double bass when an infection that I couldn't get rid of caused me to lose my left leg. Now I'm on a quest to buy a duelist pedal. Then I remembered that I had to sell my kit for medical bills. So now my quest consist of finding another kit. Then my quest for a duelist will continue. FYI the dualist is an FX pedal i tried it when it came out my 350 bpm was done on a stock Axis pedal yes he goes faster but I actually played the notes id like to see just hos actual double bass speed

He didn’t actually screw up when it added the cymbal and both bass drums the first time. He had switched off the double beater. After he turned it on it doubled the count. I don’t think he’d post a mistake in a video … unless there was an opportunity for him to beat the crap out of floor tom with his fist 😂

Well he is using 2 double hammer pedal so total BPM is about 400 but he got also a triple hammer pedal so technically he should be able to do 600 BPM

Major misconception regarding Jorge "El Estepario" is that he's "Toking Up" all these times however, those are hand rolled cigarettes, NOT "Spleef" as so many suspect. I know many want to add that layer of "Outlaw" to him but it's simply that he's smoking a cigarette and not a joint. Jorge Garrido takes very seriously his fitness and training, with the exception that he's smoking cigarettes, even hand rolled pure tobacco without all the chemicals in commercial mass-produced cigarettes, are still bad for you. He's still super-human.

Mmmm it is all a matter of discipline and style… Danny Carey, Ray Barone, Aaron Kitcher, Tomas Haake all do things that we can point to and say “the best” even Jorge Garrido has said Aaron blew his mind but they are all unique in each way… there are some Jazz drummers that would make them all freak out… but drumming is like singers you don’t compare opera vocals to harsh vocals or soulful power it’s not fair… just sit back relax and enjoy that we live in a time where we have access to all these monsters of rhythm
