Dont care who can do more or what thrills, im a musician myself and Yoyoka at 10 years of age is already one of the best drummers in the world, she got the looks the personality, the groove, she hits hard aswell,, it like dave grohl ppl call him the best drummer, yoyokas got what hes got. Born to do it ckearly a gift, she needs to join my band. I know itll but hurt some ppl to say it, but the kids special. Ive seen kids drum do crazy beats and fills but noone has that groove even grown men dont have it its very rare you see musicians like her.. Not going into technical stuff but just pure soul... Kanade sado, Maana Fukuda, yuuki ogawa, all in the footsteps of Senri kawaguchi, who’s on track to be the best kit drummer ever, no joke (see Triangle, this dvd won Japanese Grammy-ish jazz award, what was she, 19?! kzbin.info/www/bejne/pKOre6KPa7etiJI ). Yoyoka is not on that track, but, if rock n roll ever needs saving I’m calling Yo-chan. At 10, she had 8 yrs experience, 6yrs gigging, was offered a job (semi-seriously) by Robert plant at age 7, and has already filled in with Fallout Boy and Cyndi Lauper, and had people like Char-san sit in with Her! She has endorsements on two continents, and went to Tokyo some dozen times this year (& NY, & LA twice) for tv appearances and festivals, and recently finally traveled alone, a true pro. 4th or 5th grade I think, just turned 10. So maybe not a jazz genius, but the best attitude and best natural groove anyone could ask for. The slight changes she intentionally makes to her covers are 90%+ improvements, over chad smith, Taylor Hawkins /Dave grohl, roger Taylor, rage against machine, grand funk railroad, XJapan, tons of bohnam, maybe even peter Gabriel, (dunno about her Stewart Copeland tho). Yes, she drums, but she also plays the base, percussion, keyboards, xylophone, she sings, she writes songs, she choreographs and other things as well. She has played in over three hundred gigs. Mostly small, but some big time gigs. She tours Japan in a band. She plays in bars, weddings and various other venues, just like any other upcoming musician would do break into the music industry. She actively does commercials, like with nike, moncler, lego, and a number of other ones. I do not speak Japanese, but I think she recently did a commercial for a tire company and one or two for a car company. She has already cut three albums and is working on her fourth. If you look at Yoyoka’s video collection, she has posted two of Senri’s songs. Also, if you check tape, Yoyoka is ahead of Senri in terms of acquired skills at the same age level, in my opinion. Yoyoka has been on the Ellen show in the States 2 times. Another young Japanese drummer that you should check out is Kanade Sato, and @ 16 is seen as one of the best female drummers in the world today. I saw her perform with a band live in London and you could tell she was something special, and will go on to big things, she also plays in a jazz band. Don't ever let go of YOYOKA, in just a short few years, she will probably be the best drummer in the world. In the Mean time check out another Japanese drummer named, "JUNNA" doing the song Through The Fire And Flames by Dragon Force. Another favorite of mine is "AMI KIM" from Korea. I am not a drummer and am not "musical" at all but I know something and someone who is very special when I see it. I just don't know but want to know why. I REALLY apologize for asking this question but there is another 10 year old girl on the Internet who plays the drums, @Nandi_Bushell, who is good but not in Yoyoka's class: Not taking anything away from Nandi Bushell but Yoyoka is SPECIAL. Can you explain to me, from listening to her and seeing her play, why and what makes Yoyoka so awesome. How do you tell genius (Yoyoka) from someone who is "just" talented?

Dunno about genius, but definitely her passion is the best I've seen. I'm not a great drummer by any means, but when it comes to drums passion is always better than technically gifted I think. She's both, but she has the passion that others don't. And that God damn smile! kawaii!!

well, i would've liked it better if you gave your audiance more time to listen to yoyoka without constant interruption. she's a mozart of drums, so let her play. you're totally right with your assessments. but i thought you came across better, if you gave your verdict at the end. or maybe two, three times inbetween. but i like your enthusiasm still.
