In the first part Miku is encouraging the audience to take a few steps back because the front is packed pretty tightly. She says Saiki won't be back for a while so don't worry and take a few steps back. She then talks about how she never imagined being able to play a sold out Zepp Tokyo in just 5 years since their formation and how they are continuing on their journey towards World Domination. @@L33Reacts There was an episode somewhere in the States, when a fan asked MISA, "It's probably just tea in that bottle?" And then she poured some into his mouth, to prove it's a real thing. She said a year later that she switches to lighter drinks, to keep herself more healthy. So yes, recently it's almost always a beer, not a whisky on her amp. It's actually more of a stage persona by her, not that she's a real alcoholic, I believe (well, I hope so). She's gradually moving away from alcohol as a mind-altering drug, it seems. She used to hide behind it to overcome her shyness, but as she's getting older, her shyness is already gone, and she does not need any substances anymore to plug herself into society.

@@ShikataGaNai100 Well, they did not sell out 17,000 at YokoAri, that's what everybody says. What was the exact gate, we don't know, of course, but probably more than 10,000. Definitely more than half of the capacity of the venue. There were only some free zones at the top of the grandstands, as far as I can see in the video. But anyway, they indeed travelled a long way over these 10 years. Many fans still complain that BAND-MAID should be more popular, but it already is. They have a solid paying fanbase, they participate in big festivals, and whenever a new reactor is asked to listen to them, he or she is usually hooked immediately. The Maids take no prisoners.

@@VladimirChupin The actual capacity of Yokoari on that day was much smaller than 17000. They made it all seated and set up the extra center stage and a walkway. About a couple of months before Yokoari Okyuji, Sai-chan said on a radio show that the capacity would be 12000 (but she wasn't sure about it).

@@K.H.D710 Aha... Thanks! I was not sure about the capacity of YokoAri. 17,000 is full stadium, but for concerts, it's always less because the stage blocks one end of the arena. So, if it was 12,000, then I would say the attendance of 10,000 seems probable. That hall was pretty full, at least it looked like this on the video.

@@VladimirChupin It is 1,7000 capacity if the ground floor is standing only with the center stage, i.e., no walkway and no side stage. The ground floor and the 2nd floor were pretty full, but the 3rd floor was almost empty (probably less than 300 people for 3,271 seats).

Miku, if anyone doesn’t know, is a poetess and the author of the group’s lyrics. And she is a producer and negotiator, and also manages the finances of the group and, apparently, the girls, since in an interview they said that they trusted Mick with their wallets. I also took 2nd place at the Japanese Open Poker Championship, earning $1,600, and regretted not taking first. Now he is participating there again.

Both Miku and Kanami when speaking on stage or at appearances use a much higher pitched (Cutesy) voice. Their natural speaking voices are actually lower pitched. The first time I heard Miku's natural voice in a Japan in Motion video I thought it was someone else. When I heard Kanami's voice in the Behind the scenes from their 2022 tour, I was shocked again. When she was waving to the audience, she was waving to the "Princesses" area, setup specifically for women. Then she turned to the rest and basically said "Old Men". Poking fun at the fact that the majority of their fans are old Male Classic Rock Heads. And Miku mentions about how they keep trolling her with the backing track. At earlier performances they would play it then cut it off when she started to sing. Then they trolled her again. So she asks the audience to help her "Clap" her band mates out. The when MISA finished her bottle, Miku said someone bring her another bottle. And MISA's stage drink back then was Jim Bean and it was real. She even shared it once with an audience member. According to the other Ladies, MISA gets really buzzed during concerts and plays even better as she gets more buzzed. She has toned down her drinking, and mostly sticks to beer. And the mellotron sounding thing during Miku's song I always thought it was on the backing track, until I saw several fancams of Kanami hitting a pedal on her pedal board and playing it, then I saw it in person myself. This concert was 8 months after Saiki's vocal surgery, and her voice was getting much better. And the first song with Saiki back was I can't Live Without You, or ICLWY. Followed by "You" from their "Just Bring It" album. And not to be confused with "Youth" which was a special release only available on a special edition of their "Unseen World" 2-Disc Release. And during Freedom, when Saiki goes down into the audience, she is held on the shoulders of Kanami's guitar Tech Daisuke Kondo and one of the cameramen. You can see Daisuke's arm holding her up. And Miku had to take over the final verse because Saiki couldn't jump back on stage like Daisuke could, so she ran to side and went around back stage, coming back out for Real Existence barefoot as her shoes were over by Akane's drum riser. And you can see Miku quickly retuning her guitar after the opening riffs of Real Existence, when she threw it around she got it slightly off tune. And you can MISA smiling as she and Saiki danced around as they were both barefoot. After Kanami's solo she has her shoes back on. And they actually edited about 10 minutes out of the full concert from what I have read. Just time between songs to allow the techs to get things setup. They edited 2 acoustic songs (YOLO and Puzzle) and about 5 minutes from Miku's Omajinai time from Line Cube Shibuya, where she threw chocolates to the audience, as it was Valentines Day. And I still have one of my most treasured memories of Miku walking to the edge of the stage in Houston and tossing a pick to me in my wheelchair, unfortunately it missed, but the security guard picked it up and another concert goer told him Miku had thrown it to me, so he handed it to me. It is one of my most treasured possessions. And Crown Stones was a subsidiary of Revolver Records if I am remembering right. The Ladies started off on Gump records which was a wholly owned subsidiary of their Management (Platinum PassPort),the switched to Crown Stones/Revolver Records before switching to their current label Pony Canyon. With each new label, their support structure keeps increasing, as well as their advertising budget. And Miku is the band's Spokes Pigeon. Or as Saiki teased her recently Business Pigeon. And if you haven't seen it yet, the Ladies 10th anniversary tour ending concert at Yokohama Arena will be released on BD-DVD this march, I've already pre-ordered both versions, but you need to get it yourself and watch it.

I just watch your video and as things happen I think I need to reply to I pause the video, come down to the comment section and type it out, then scroll back up and start playing the video again. That is how I sometimes have very LONG comments. I went through another reactors 90 minutes + long video and when I was done I had basically type out an essay that ran about 23 paragraphs. I've also come up against the limit for comment length a few times.

@@greylocke100 very nice way of doing comments 😉 Thank you very much for recording all this. It's a veritable treasure of information. The only slight correction would be that Saiki was not on the shoulders of Daisuke Kondo, I think she was standing on the rail of the fence between the stage and the audience. How she got there so quickly, I don't know. She must have just stepped there from the stage, but you can see that it was impossible for her just to stand there by herself, and the hand of a security guy or whoever it was, was holding her by her belt from the back. There was a very long article on Reddit about this episode, but it was mainly focused on tracking her shoes movements. I think we probably refer to the same article here. I have to go back and find it, to see if the author was able to understand where Saiki stood.

Thanks for taking the time to let this show roll and not rush. Much appreciated. The usual questions in Miku's Magic Spell Time- Who hasn't seen Band-Maid before etc. Then the Moe Moe, Kyun Kyun chant with the crowd. I gather that at this show there was a section on the right facing the stage dedicated for the female fans, which she addressed separately to the rest. Love this lady to bits- she is the soul of Band-Maid. Love the bit in Freedom where Saiki gets stuck in the ladies area of the crowd and Miku has to sing the last part of the song, but she sings her harmony part and not Saiki's lead melody. For me still their best live performance.

@@L33Reacts The Studio Coast video is 1 hour long and for quite a few band-maid fans it is their favorite concert. This is partly due to the exclusively great songs and partly due to the mix. It's even better than the Zepp concert. Especially Akane's drums sound crystal clear and you can really hear how precise and flawless she plays. I've been listening to rock music for 40 years and I can't remember a better live mix.

@@dennisthemenace671 I think the policy of blocking the videos depends on the decisions of Platinum Passport itself, their immediate manager. They also ask RIAJ for help, although those guys are pretty unruly, I should say. They just go about and remove random videos, including fancams. The name of their label is in the closing credits in this reaction, it's Crown Stones. But the management started a removal campaign only when they decided to open a BAND-MAID Prime site. Later it became clear that they wanted to place these recordings, previously available only on exclusive Blu-Rays/DVDs, behind that paywall. Well, it's understandable, but some videos, like that video of Play from Shinkiba Studio Coast, had over million views, and it was a huge promotional tool for many fans, they would often refer new people to it, to demonstrate how great is BAND-MAID. It's a pity is was taken down. I also don't understand why they destroyed a few fan-made projects like those lyrics videos from W otmgk. He had an amazing string of multi-language videos, and volunteers were contributing translations of the lyrics in many languages.
