Seeing the animation would be great, but you already nailed almost everything about the intent of the music. Somber parts 1 and 4 bookend the trailer with foreshadowing the darker troubles of the region, French jazz is the main sound of the new France-inspired region (releasing a week from today), and the villain monologue section is literally a Fatui monologuing

@user-qh1pg8pt3v I never implied that he did? If you are referencing my use of the word Fatui, he's read enough lore-dump comments on previous songs related to them, or at the very least a basic understanding of language context is enough to realize that Fatui means villain in the comment.

The new nation called Fontaine, is the nation of Hydro (water element) and is based on turn of the century France with a steampunk style. So victorian, romantic and Belle Epoque influence for the music. And yes this specific OST was for an animated teaser c:

You were right about everything, except that instead of evil man with a moustache it's an evil woman with no moustache 🙂 New update trailers and teasers always have a few songs in them, typically three or four, that follow the cutscenes in the trailer. There is even one four-minute teaser that has eight songs in it, each representing a different in-game country, and it's a wild mix of music genres.

As everyone already said this was originally the bgm for the trailer of the same name. The region which is for the most part based on France is releasing in about a week. The devs released a live concert showing of the music of the region just in case you're interested

This is background music from a teaser video so it changes themes as scenes in the video change. Moreover it adds leitmotifs of various characters showcased in it so it naturally ends up being a wild mix. But despite that the music holds together and is fun to listen to even alone.

they also put out a live symphony video showcasing a few of the nations sounds, its really pretty! you should def react to that and maybe the teaser animation And the new version 4.0 trailer !! there arent many tracks available of the new region, since it is very new and about to come out in a few days, but those should get you more familar w them

The new region bring released next week, Fontaine, is indeed based on France. And yeah, do give the trailer a peek, I think if nothing else you'll find it interesting to see how accurate your read of the music was.

You should watch all the Genshin Chapter Trailers honestly due to their uniqueness, but the most important of those is probably the Genshin Impact Teyvat Travail trailer, where all the regions are hinted at.

oh hell yeah this one lets gooooo, region is releasing next wednesday so there will be a lot of new ost next week. Also region is based on france/england as you caught here, also water element. (so far we had germany/central europe = wind, china = earth/rock, japan = thunder, india/middle east = plants; coming next likely spain/south america = fire in 2024, russia = ice in 2025)
