Millenials and Gen Z just don’t understand how iconic Kiss’ reunion was for pop culture.

Stupid ass statement. Born in 83. I'm a millennial. Been a die hard kiss fan my entire life. Got into them at the age of 6 thanks to my dad and uncles and became obsessed. I was 14 when the reunion tour happened. To say we didn't know how iconic it was for pop culture is just moronic to say. Kiss in 1996 was to us what 1976 was to those in older generations. We witnessed greatness and knew damn well how important it was.

Made me proud to be a Detroiter!!! We had so much fun!!! When the lights first went out perfect started jumping over the railings to the field the they came back on and there was a lineup of police and volunteers with their arms linked but they knew they couldn't stop em so they just stood there letting em go. Didn't see a single one of them disrespect the velvet ropes "protecting" the infield, they went around. It was so cool. 😊

Yes Steven. You’re right on the money. This is when they first got back together after almost 20 years apart. The non make up era of Kiss was dead in the water in these years. The music landscape was hot with the new era of Rock Roll & Grunge so they had no choice to finally give the Kiss fans what they wanted for years and that was Original Kiss. Just like those Midnight Special performances you reviewed you picked right up on the hunger just as an outsider looking in. Any true musician can pick up when performers are just going through the motions. I I haven't watched this one on a while. I didn't realize how tight it was. They looked happy to be together again. Peter as the oldest member was in his early 50's here so he lost a lot of his fastball as the years went on beyond this. The passion of the reunion of the original line up was short-lived, but this tour was 🔥 As a young boy I never got to see the original lineup until this tour. I recommend staying as far away from anything past 2000 because it does not have the authenticity like this. By 2004 it just became a parody of itself. Putting other guys in Ace and Peter makeup. Yes the hired guns were talented but it was back to just a money making thing and just a hollow presentation. I am sure your Dad can tell you all about it. The last several years of the band were just embarrassing because by that point they were using backing tracks and Paul was lip syncing because he lost his voice. Love to see you do a Kiss cover. Maybe Watching You off of Hotter than Hell. I did these 2 just recently kzbin.info/www/bejne/rZyZq4SYl8ebr6c kzbin.info/www/bejne/rn25dIChe9-Bhck I don't have any mics. Just an iphone14
