Yep! Oranges is what we called it. Sorry and I hate to be that guy, but the signature songs on here are Going Down (all out rock with a nice Max piano intro. Then Definitely Maybe which is Jeff playing a soulful master class guitar duet with himself! This remains my favourite Beck era and band.

3 songs of his to check out are Scatterbrain and his covers of 2 Beatle songs. A Day in the Life and She's a Woman. All instrumentals and all phenomenal

The group's jazz/rock classification was probably the result of Max Middleton's jazzy piano solos on the previous album, Rough And Ready. If I was going to introduce Jeff Beck to someone, and didn't want to go back to the Yardbirds, I'd start with the first Jeff Beck Group's pre Zeppelin album Truth - with Rod Stewart on vocals and Ron Wood on bass.

Rough & Ready is one of my all-time favorite albums. It is one of the most unique albums Jeff ever did. The idea of this line up was a fusion of rock, jazz & Motown.

Saw Jeff with Jan Hammer at the ARMS benefit for MS research at the Cow Palace near SF. It was inspired by Ronnie Lane of Faces who later died of MS. Lots of stars at the show including Charlie Watts, Lane, Eric Clapton and Paul Rodgers. When my pal and I went to buy the tix, the guy at the counter said he had some extra tix he would sell us at face value ($22). They were in the 4th row! Joe Cocker sang With a Little Help from my Friends and Jimmy Page did an instrumental Stairway to Heaven. Awesome show.

Huge Jeff Beck fan but I was not a fan of this song or album. My friens had it but I loved Jeff Becks other stuff. I hate when people push album, song suggestions on you so now I'm gonna do it. Humble Pie's Studio album " Rock On" is worth listening to even if you have to cheat and listen to it of air to try and pick a favorite tune to play on the channel.. Good luck if you decide to try that approach. I'm 71 and I would put this album in my top three of 1971 and I believe that was the best year of all for the best music before too many artists hit the magic age of 27 and left us prematurely. Well, a lot of them had passed away😂 already. Keep on truckin. Think of all the good times we've had. You know there's such a lot of good way's, to be bad!

Lee, that's actually a really good album. They had a hit off that album called Going Down, more of a rocker for Jeff to do some leads. Dude, Jeff Beck had a long great career & a lot of great music & musicianship in that career. The Yardbirds Heart Full Of Soul For Your Love Shapes Of Things (also with the early Jeff Beck Group) Train Kept A Rollin' Early Jeff Beck Group with Rod Stewart & Ronnie Wood Ain't Superstitious Morning Dew Beck's Bolero Beck, Bogert & Appice Superstition Black Cat Moan His solo & work with Jan Hammer Freeway Jam Lee, he does a great instrumental version of A Day In The Life. I have him doing that on a couple of live DVD's. I wanted to see if you were familiar with Cozy Powell? He was a great drummer who played for so many great bands & artist Beck, Rainbow, Whitesnake, Black Sabbath, ELP, he was on Robert Plant, Brain May, & Gary Moore albums, he put out some great solo albums with a host of great musicians including Jeff Beck & Gary Moore. Check out Dartmoore with Gary Moore on his Octopus album. I noticed you haven't done anything from Rainbow. They was a killer band, especially the years Cozy was in them. If you've never heard Stargazer from Rainbow Rising album before, Lee you are truly missing out. Ritchie Blackmore, Ronnie James Dio, Cozy Powell, how could you go wrong. Also Cozy always did a drum solo with Rainbow. During that solo he would include the music of the 1812 Overture & play to that. There is a video on KZbin of him doing that solo. If you do watch it, look how huge his drum sticks are, Cozy played with some big ass sticks. Got to see Cozy with Rainbow 5 or six times with Rainbow Got the pleasure of seeing Jeff Beck 3 times also. The 2nd time, it was a double bill & he opened the show & the closer was Stevie Ray Vaughn & Double Trouble. Great job Lee I wish I could help you out with some $ & make some requests, but I do 6 days a week & it still tough to get by. Love the Beatles stuff, later.

Well Lee, you've fallen into the reaction creator trap. In the past couple years, I've watched a hundred reaction channels. Seen some thrive. Seen some wither. You can pander to patrons and their obscure songs and get minimal views. Or you can react to more popular tunes and get better views and maybe lose a few patrons. Your choice.
