Big thanks for checking out all these Karnivool songs. That Sound Awake album is perfect from the firs track to the last. And yes there are a few drumcam videos of Steve, really enjoyed those. And as mentioned, the bass sound on this album is sooo in your face, which is awesome. Especially since John Stockman, their bass player is as creative, musical and talented as all the other members of the band. Thanks for the reaction, love your accent too. Greetings from Germany.❤

Great reaction mate. One of my all time favourite bands. I love all of their songs but I recommend Deadman off of the same album, Sound Awake. Never get sick of listening to that song.

Great work Shane. The Apha Omega - Ghost City Sessions shows the band in the studio recording the song. Well worth a look. I heard Bill Burr the American comedian say on his podcast a few yrs ago that his drum teacher recommended Karnivool, now he likes to drum along to their tracks. 👍

Hell yeah dude, that Alpha Omega at Ghost studio's is THE one!!! The only video I ever saw that had over over 1000 likes and literally one dislike (when you could still see the dislikes). It's that good...

Haven't heard this in years! Forgot how 'Tool-ish' the time signature is. Love it🤘

The time signature was.. Yes.. Haha..😅 I'm probably going to watch that Rick Beato video tomorrow and hear more about what going on in this track. Loved it as well 🤘 would actually like to hear this whole album on a bit of psychedelics one day. I've done that with Tool so many times and each time it's been a mind bending experience. I feel Karnivool could deliver the same experience :D 🤘

@@ShaneAlanGower Yeah mate. I just turned 40 and found myself listening to Tool, Butterfly effect, Karnivool and Birds of Tokyo and looking back to my teenage years fondly! And seeing Aussie bands I rocked out to gives me a real sense of pride. Thank again Shane.🤘. Keep up the great work man. Awesome

Rick Beato, another youtuber and music producer, did a great breakdown of this song in his "what makes this song great" series, interesting watch you might be interested in.

The different timing signature and vocal change is very much reminiscent of Alice in chains
