So being friends with Dave for the last 20 years - I can honestly say he left in the late 70’s and was out of the band for 18 years. Tower was known as the BIGGEST drug addict band in the music industry which led to some serious conflicts and hurt feelings. Dave has pretty much always been a pretty clean living guy. Runner, nutrition, keeping his mind sharp, etc. Once Tower got clean that led to Dave’s return. But at this point of the video there was still bad blood and no communication.
