Sorry buddy, I realize there's a point where they show 3 jacks (out of the hand, as illustration). But it's never said that THOSE are the jacks he has in his hand, right? If you are talking about another point/time in this video (where they show the 3 jacks clear), i'd appreaciate it if you let me know when that is. In that case of course, you would most likely be right.

These guys gave their scam away when they had the drunk guy expose his hand. They didn't need to do this for the scam to work. They already fed everybody quality hands which they were forced to call off. Exposing the cards only raised the suspicions, which were never there in the first place.

david koresh Exactly. Not enough to avoid an assault charge or have you banned from the club. It is unlikely he folded J's but not impossible. However, I suspect the "marks" were actors in this clip, or at least told what was happening and asked if they minded taking part. All sorts of problems could have arisen otherwise, such as some of them kicking off or, when revealed, not wanting to be identified on TV because they were supposed to be "working late at the office"or what ever.. As it was they didn't even use a single swear word. Very sanitised for a late night game of poker if you ask me. More like a ladies bridge morning. I can't really imagine a poker club giving anyone permission to put secret cameras where peoples hands can be monitored.

That's like a 1 in a billion chance of happening eh? I have heard of AAAA being beaten by a royal flush only twice in poker so could you imagine how rare that would have to be. But unfortunately it's still statistically possible to happen. No matter how rare an event is it can still happen but in this case it was a scam and the way it happened with him folding his Jacks would indeed tip them all off.

I understand why you think what you think, but in official games a royal flush is never called a straight flush. It's not how it goes on the boards, not how it's announced, and not how it's generally known. I do agree that most likely a royal flush was initially called a straight flush and then the name changed due to single it out as the best hand. Of course there's no documentation that I know of. Either way, that's not how it goes on paper..
@007Neutrin0
@007Neutrin0 12 жыл бұрын
There is a straight flush and there is a royal flush. Straight flush would be a straight be all suited cards straight flush to Queen, and a Royal Flush would be a Flush to A suited. So you can have a low straight flush beat by a royal flush to A. Unlikely, but possible especially on a board which is something like J10KQ suited.
@Omego2K
@Omego2K 12 жыл бұрын
No... A royal flush is it's own hand level like two pair or full house. It's made that way for a reason. That reason is it's the best achievable hand in most poker games. When you win with it the hand name is announced as a royal flush. Some casinos give you extra cash if you receive a royal flush and they name it as such. Some casinos do high hand and royal flushes go on the board as royal flushes not a straight flush to the ace.

I can't stack a deck at all and you probably could not stack a deck like this on the fly so it's useless information that I can't use! The only way it might work for me is if i had a pre staked deck and replaced houses deck with it. Sill I would not try it.

The hands they had made it slightly less obvious. If the end result was more rigid like in magic tricks (4 2's, 4 3's, 4 4's, winning hand= 4 5's), it would be obvious. Alex the "Drunk" never touched the deck and it is harder to identify team play. Although it is obvious from this video's vantage point, in real life an outcome like that could easily be confused for a lucky fluctuation. Note that Paul rigged 5 card draw and not Texas Holdem (Easier to cheat Texas Holdem cuz of fewer cards).

Guys, listen!!!! I'm a magician and expert in card-cheating. The explenation of the narrator is false. Trust me, you can NOT stack the cards during a game, that fast, to give these cards. 4 of a kind, flush, straight flush, full house in the same poker hand. The only thing here possible is a "cold deck". An other deck is pre stacked and smuggled on to the table when it was Paul's turn to shuffle. He can smuggle it after the cut. Or he can false shuffle and after the cut he can do a pass.

Well, but they did do it for real, and he did leave with the money. They just came back and gave the money back. Not every poker player is literally ready to kill someone over a few hundred dollars (or pounds.) Most would not be ready to kill *anyone.* The drawing two cards thing was both a stunt, to make it more dramatic for the hidden cameras, and it convinced everyone at the table that he couldn't have better than four Jacks at the outside, and three Jacks was overwhelmingly likely.
