To an extent yes and no. I'm a massage therapist and what they are is basically an area of muscle where the nerve attaches and over time due to muscle metabolism and over and under use muscles lay down lactic acid crystals... I tell people to think of it like velcro or hardened clay.

I have panic attack and anxiety back in 2018 and everytime I feel anxious and scared all my muscle would stiff and tight then after that I feel drained then my higher left back started hurting 3/10 pain then everytime I got anxious or situation that I worried too much my back feel burning muscle then it got worse and worse that now my body is not normal I can even used my muscle too much cause it hurt too much and I have so many knots on my body it will be gone when I get massage but back again 😢
