At 6:53 I was thinking, "Still muddy pool of water = leeches!" :-) I hate the little buggers. In my favourite area we get the big tiger leeches - tough as inner-tube rubber and very persistent. If it wasn't for the gold and sapphires I'd never go near the place. :-/

It would be so awesome to get ,1in a pan,, here in central Indiana your having a great pan if you can get 20-30 flour gold specks there are the random flakes and I have found a few pickers in one creek over the last six years and wow was it incredible to find gold you could feel

Indiana is in the USA,we don't have any snipable gold that would be cool out big rivers are very very lean with gold,the bedrock here drops up to 80 ' below water level,many times coming downstream,so we can find micro gold on the big rivers

Well done Glen. It's a solid effort just to prospect like that let alone doing a great job filming it. Thumbs up. Just got back from the New England trekking into some very remote wilderness. Managed to get a bucket full of smoky quartz crystals and a couple bits of light blue topaz. An old mate is out sluicing at turondale and getting 3 to 4 grams a day. I'm heading out there Tuesday for the last few days of my holidays. All the best and keep up the great work 👍

Nice haul Glenno , yeah a long day hey , but that's what it takes sometimes if you want the shiny . Good thinking taking the detector specially with no water , it'll still tell you where the heavies dropped out , like lead etc . Yeah gotta watch those snakes alright , i found that out during that long drought about 4 years ago , one puddle and that's where they come to drink while you're panning out ohhhh yeah , the buggers Anyway great day mate . Hello Glen, I was out on that dry creek all last week and despite the filthy leech infested water, I was happy with my results. I did spend the other half of my time on the Torun, weather was great and found some nice fractured and decomposing bedrock to pick on so, pleased with my trip.
