Sunday evening here in UK. We're moving so I've been carrying 14,976 boxes up and down the stairs without a single trip to my fridge of wonder. So I sat down to get a bit to eat, flicked on my laptop and there was Rigbone (and yourself, Jason) doing what you do best, gold mining and entertaining. Thanks for that 20 slice of fun. Some nice gold there. Look forward to seeing your next outing into the wild.

@ Flour gold Wizards Ever done a water assay? Fill a new 5 gallon plastic bucket of location water. Add 1 cup a Clorox bleach and allow 30 minutes to settle. Drain off the water until there is left enough to wash out the silts. Have a look at the dust you can't get yet. Assay by fire in a silver free lead foil cup. Your bead size will tell you how much in solution gold there is.

That rocks is a sedimentatious feature - but even more there appears to be quartzite veins through the clay/sand matrix. Silt, clay, and sand have their own sedimentation and metamorphic processes turning into siltstone/mudstone/sandstone => shale/quartzite => slate/quartzite => final schist/quartz. Natural metamorphism does not lead to sand (silicate) being pressurized into quartzite veins, then quartz veins. Even other silicates (agate, chalcedony, jasper, carnelian, chrysolite, etc) do not make this appearance. Even gem mineral aluminum-silicates (topaz, emeralds, beryls, tourmalines, and garnets) need high and extended pressures for metamorphism. This appears to be ... wait for it ... a potential lightning strike sandstone/clay/siltm as FULGURITE. Known for lightning strike worm holes up to 3-4-5+ feet in length ... extending ABOVE the sandy beach surface ... when lighting hits sandy beaches they shoot upward and the sand is melted and electrocuted (refined) into chalcedony/quartzite or other alumino-silicate veins. !!!!

I've been using that same damn the last three times I was there. I had that hole you panned in twice as deep before I filled it back in and turned the water flow to run sand into the hole. Lucky Larry was with me the last time and he pick up a .045 flake just down river from me and Dave got a feeler the time before that from the top of the hole I dug in. I'm probably done for the year unless we get some super warm weather in December. The water was so cold in on tuesday morning the week you were there I couldn't even feel the rock in my classifier in the morning and it got up to 70 in the afternoon.

Another spectacular video, Jason! That waterproof camera is really paying off for you, too. Have to admit, I'm jealous of the Flour Gold Wizards sweatshirt. Freaking love it! Keep up the great work!!
