I used much less jaggery than how much you added but it made my pickle sweet. No body is eating it now

a year even at room temperature, don't store in fridge, not required

Very nice explanation. By mistake I had thrown the mango water before I saw your video. Can I skip this step of adding jaggery ? Will there be any significant change in the taste or can I add jaggery powder directly.

you can take a cup of water add 1 tbl spoon white vinegar to it and mix jaggery into that and then pour it over the mangoes that works

it would, but vinegar would help act as a preservative, or just sprinkle a little jaggery as you suggested that's fine too, it would melt but you would have to keep the jar in direct sunlight for 3-4 days

confused isnt 1 cup = 250 ml ? so wont 1 cup of salt be more than 100gm ?

Love the way you narrate the videos. You sound very similar to the popular Vah Chef. I like him a lot and now your voice has a new fan. This recipe is what I was looking for years and I am going to try them today. The mango that you are using is slightly yellow inside, is it Totapuri mango or pickle mango?

I bought 3 kg mangoes and got it cut in the market then washed them and sun dried them for 2 days to remove all moisture.Will my achar spoil or can I add some preserves to avoid it from spoiling.

Keep it outside fridge at room temperature, its shelf life is 1 year and more

I like the recipe. One question. How about mixing the oil and the left over juice together before you put in the jar? Will it make any difference?

Donot use that juice in pickle . Juice will ruin you pickle trust me i did that and my pickle stay only 8days . More important did not skip any step and i also put that pickle in the sun light also .

sweet is ok, but they should be raw, if they are ripe, pls don't try this recipe
