It was a scripted show starring Fran Drescher. It ran for six seasons starting in 1993. The TV program she seems to be talking about is called "Supernanny." It was a reality TV program that featured Jo Frost, a nanny originally from England. Jo Frost was called in to help parents get their kids back under control. It started in 2004 and ran for five seasons.
