Palworld is an action-adventure, survival and monster-taming game hybrid created and published by Japanese developer Pocket Pair. The game is set in an open world populated with animal-like creatures known as "Pals". The players can battle and capture Pals in order to use them for base building, traversal, and combat. Palworld can be played either solo, or online by up to 32 players on one server. Announced in 2021, it was launched via early access for Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S in January 2024.
The game's comedic premise, which involves using firearms and equipping Pals with them, earned it the nickname "Pokémon with guns". Other elements, such as using creatures for food or placing them to work in mines and factories, have also garnered attention. It was generally well received, with praise for its gameplay, content, and satirical premise, but criticism for its reliance on shock humor and use of unoriginal designs and mechanics.
In Palworld, players control a customizable avatar from a third-person perspective with the goal of exploring the open-world Palpagos Islands and uncovering their secrets. Players need to manage their hunger level, craft basic tools, gather materials, and build bases that act as fast travel points. Unlocks through a technology tree allow the player to craft and use weapons, structures, and decorations.

Amazing resource for breeding for players returning to the game. The two things I can add are: First: Work Suitability level is really strong. It functions as a multiplier to work speed and follows the sequence 1x/1.5x/3x/5x/10x. So using the new electric pals as a baseline a 4 star Orserk (WS5) is twice as valuable as a 0-3 star Orserk (WS4) which is twice as valuable as any of the Work Suitability 3 pals (Griz, Helz Lux, Relax Lux). so mass breeding for Orserk (Griz + Relax) has been my priority since the update as the new Oil stuff is so power hungry. It works the same for all Work Suitability so breeding for Work Suitability 4 pals ASAP will really speed up production in your base. Second: Ranch pals are really undertuned right now. There is no way to interact with the cooldown between drops (its fixed at 50 seconds) so the only thing that the work speed passives do is decrease the drop animation length. additionally the number of resources per drop is picked from 1 to the star level of the pal +1. So a 4 star Chikipi can picks between 1 and 5 eggs every 50 seconds (average 2.5). so a 4 star chikipi (with nocturnal for max uptime) drops on average 180 eggs per hour. Since you can buy eggs from a vendor for 50g that is only 9k g/hr earned from that pal slot. Compare that with a baseline trio of Lyleen-Jorm-Verdash for Baked berries being able to manage 16 Berry plots for roughly 6k berries per hour that sell for 100g each once cooked (~600k g/hr) and you can see why buying your milk and eggs is something like 16x more efficient. Additionally the Planting and Mining pals receive a bonus to work speed from the passives, from food, and from being condensed to 4 star so the numbers above are just the starting point and continue to increase as you invest in the system, whereas the egg production numbers shown are already at max.

WS level is important but so is pal size id always go for lv3 normal/medium size pals than lv4 large pals like the jourmantides

@@kailass4378 now that we have a 50 pal limit there is a lot more room to do that. prior with 15 it was a tight fit to get more than 1 pal doing any job. You can absolutely design around it (activity spacing and keeping each layer at least 3 high). but you are right if your doing anything other than a purpose-built base the big boys get stuck on everything. I just blend all my alpha pals for the same reason, the minor boost to health isn't worth all the hang-ups.

@@joerahmat5726 WS4 is a 5x multiplier while WS3 is a 3x multiplier so with the same passives a WS4 pal is 66% stronger than WS3. So to make the ratio you reverse the power, which comes out to 3 Lyleen/Jorm to 5 verdash. If you don't want to commit that many slots, you can get pretty close with 2:3 but your verdash will always be a bit behind, but in my base the Jorms end up being the bottleneck because of the mill and/or crusher.

Note, work speed increases DO NOT affect the ranch. There is 0 reason to get Serious, Work Slave, etc on a Chikipi or Mozarrina. What you shoudl do however is increase their rank by condensing.

Two things, 1: workspeed on ranch pals is negligible, so traits that keep them there longer (nocturnal+the 2 food traits) seems far more impactful. 2: Serenity trait wasn't shown but sounds like it will be extremely useful for attackers. +10% attack -30% CD.(just caught a pal with it but haven't breed it onto anything yet)

Player damage scales much higher than pal damage so Vanguard and/or Stronghold are going to be more valuable for most applications, however Serenity is certainly going to be strong. The new Shadowbeak skill hits like a truck and for any of the raid pals building Serenity will be a big buff as well. for the Bela Lib fight the uptime on the vine wrap from Seed Mine was the only thing rate limiting Flare storm damage. Until they nerf Libs the cooldown is where the bulk of their damage comes from so a 30% reduction is a big boost to dps. Problem is going to be getting Serenity on a Lib as you are going to have to wait for a mutation...

@@GeassX you can hatch a Yakumo with the passives you want and use it to sync to wild pals. it doesn't work on eggs as far as I am aware, however I haven't tested it. it would be a really good use-case if it did. I think he was saying that the parents passives influence what the child rolls. there is some % chance that each parent contributes one or more passives and a small chance that a new one rolls. I'm calling the new passive chance a "Mutation" as its the only way to get new passives on self-only pals.

The hard one is desired offspring, and chance to get Alpha. Until now, I only got desired Alpha Frostallion & Alpha Shadowbeak. I love it when they updated when reached lvl 55, special skill like Kerauno (Orserk), and Divine Disaster upgraded to next skill Polykerauno and Divine Disaster II. Another high skill are also upgraded to more potent, like Ice Rain (don't remember the skill name), from 110 power to 160 power

2+2 is best way to breed as it only takes 16 eggs max to get 4 gold stats. However you should go with 1+1 and only keep 2 gold stat ones (if you have glasses the ivs for better stats also matter). Once you get 2 + 2 gold pals, you gota make sure that gold stats are different than on other pal or this will not work. Stacking same gold stats will reduce a chance to actuly move it on next pal.

3:27 Quick note on the ranch pals on that chart. Having Work Speed passives on ranch pals dosent actually do anything when they work inside the ranch. Its not a bad ide to try and breed work speed traits into a ranch pal becouse down the line that pal could maybe be used to then pass those traits into something else that isent gonna be working in a ranch. But for working inside the ranch those passives does not increase the pals effectivness. If u wanna increase there effectivness inside the ranch u need to use the Pal condenser and lvl up there partner ability. A good rule of thumb to look out for is if u can se a progress bar or a timer on the activity your pals are doing then the Work Speed passives are getting used. So for example if u got 2 Anubis 1 with full work speed passives and 1 with no passives and they both mine an ore node in the world they both are mining at the same speed. However if they are assigned to one of the buildable mines then the work speed passives do effect how fast they mine. Another 1 i se ppl get wrong are the electricity pals. There are no progress bar on that activity so work speed on those does nothing. If u want a electric pal to generate more power then max out there partner ability and they will gain +1lvl to there electricity work trait and in return generate power faster.

For my cooks when I was away from base, I used maxed out Ragnahawks, and if I was doing things at my base then I would use maxed out Jormantide Ignis. The birds never get stuck, and if the fire snakes get stuck I was there to make them unstuck. The birds are smaller then the one's you show and I believe have the same kindling of 4. You use any mods, your base looks way larger then normal, and you have a lot of pals active in your base. I believe you can increase the amount total in the options of vanilla, but I don't know about base size. I never played with any mods yet with this game, though one day I'll look into some.

Don't you lose efficiency feeding them raw berries? I had noticed that the pals that eat alot spend less time working before having to run back and eat again because they get so little nutrition. With your setup could use two less of each berries and wheat replacing with tomato and lettuce to make salad which gives the work speed buff. I found that the satiety buff from pizza is too strong so the work speed increase runs out long before they have the urge to eat again

Deffo salad is cool as pal food and makes a ton of money too with the surplus. Sitting on 6½M in coins (I hardly buy stuff as I mainly produce) from 3 weeks play (realtime). That came from 4 Lettuce and 3 Tom patches in one base only. With more bases being added in the update you could get MUCH MUCH more than I lol EDIT: I've just noticed Legendary Spheres sell for 4500+k - thats almost ½M for 100 of them......hmmmmm lol. Beats killing Black Marketeers.....

Work speed doesn't affect ranches, I've been told many times. So it's best to focus on food consumption and sanity.

Something worth mentioning is with the new butchering factory line you can make, getting pals like Orzerk with philanthropist to generate a lot of eggs really fast to then disassemble them for electric organs (each one gives 6 electric organ i think), passive generation without the need to go looking for electric pals in the wild.

So at one point someone actually did the math and it's inheritance by each trait and if a trait rolls twice it rolls random. 2x2 was slightly (slightly) better in the long run. But I've done 3x1 and gotten what i want plenty of times XD

Serenity is hands down the best fighting trait already. 40% Cooldown reduction will outperform every other offensive trait in the game currently. Not even mentioning it provides some small attack as well. lol

1. I don't get putting Motivational Leader and Mine Foreman on supporters. I think it is better to give them some defence in those slots (like Burly Body) so for a case you need to switch they will hold on for longer. Switching might not be necessary if you have good weapons and great main pal, but in early game 5 "synergy" pals where each can hold on their own is a good strategy. For anyone below 30th level I strongly recommend getting yourself 5 Roobys and go farming on Mammorest and other Grass bosses. 2. Farm pals don't benefit from work speed afaik, it is better to reduce their food usage, maybe speed them up slightly so they can go to feeding box and back faster. 3. I believe Nocturnal pals still need to rest, they just do it at other time, idk if they spend less time total on that. Depending on that, Lucky might be better choice, sometimes. Nocturnal is much better for a team of electricity generators at Crude Oil extraction base - those work on their own but require huge amount of electric energy, so feeding it constantly is beneficial. There is Helzephyr Lux added in Sakurajima who works at night as a Dark pal anyway though. Lucky will be a good choice for some works that might be situational - if you don't produce ammo constantly but only from time to time then Lucky Anubis should be better than Nocturnal one. 4. After Sakurajima, mounts can benefit from 2 stamina increasing skills - Fit as Fiddle (25%) and Infinite Stamina (50%). I believe those are better than Nimble, and on lower levels, before you get the Legend, you have one slot free anyway. 5. Ferocious fights for slot with Serenity, which gives your pals cooldown reduction and attack boost, and Otherworldly Cells on anti-fire and anti-electric mains, giving damage reduction. 6. There is now new role: seller. With Fine Furs and Noble on pal in your team you get 8% increase to sale price. So 40% more cash if you fill your team with such pals. 7. Another new role: catch assistant. Pal with Mercy Hit won't kill the target but will leave it on 1hp instead. 8. Missing old role: mule. Before you set up bases for all the necessary resources you will go on with your pickaxe to gather coal, quartz, sulfur, etc. Thus having your carrying cap increased is must have. Cattivas are early game choice, later Broncherry (Aqua) works best - 20 lower than Wumpo (Botan) & tied with Kingpaca, but easier to get. Mules are the pals you put Mine/Logging Foreman and Motivational Leader on. If you find it necessary to gather wood yourself, then you might consider getting Gumoss instead of mules, and mining is made much quicker by Xenovader (esp for meteorites) and Xenogarde (esp for meteorites and quartz) 9. New skills from raid bosses give 30% to 2 elements each, so for 4 mains it is better than Ferocious or the regular elemental

@DrybearGamers If you have one parent with exactly 2 of the traits you want and no other traits, and the other parent with exactly the other 2 traits you want and no other traits, you will have the greatest chance of getting a pal with all 4 traits (about 10%). Finding this out has greatly reduced the amount of breeding I have had to do, to the point where I got a few extra trait pals that I don't need at the moment.

Not sure if this would be impossable due to programming or some other issues but for the breeding sites i wished that u could add in 1 parent and then what u want the offspring to be and it would show u what the 2nd parent needs to be. This would make it alot easier to find out if a pal with traits u wanna pass on can even be used in any combination into the offspring u want. So for example if u have a Penking with 2 or 3 traits u want onto your lets say Anubis the site would tell u what the 2nd parent needs to be assuming that a Penking can even be used to breed an Anubis. If u could do this it would make it ALOT easier to look at your pals with prefered traits and quickly se if the that pal is even possable without having to scroll through a huge list. The way they work now u have to either select the offspring and scrool through that huge list. Or select 1 pal with the traits u wanna pass on and randomly change the 2nd parent without knowing if any combination can make the pal u want. Also a note on the pals u want in the Ranch, unless they have changed this and i happen to miss it the working speed stat means nothing if they are used inside the Ranch. The Ranch pals drop rate are only based on there partner lvl so u cant breed workspeed onto a Chicken and expect it to drop more eggs thats not gonna work. If u want more eggs, milk or honey u need to raise there partner lvl.

It has a Parent Search, Breeding Calculator (find the child pal), All Combos matrix, and a few other useful tabs. Everyone should give feedback asking them to make it so parents with the same passives have a higher chance if passing those passives on. It makes no sense and makes breeding take so much longer having duplicate passives be a detriment to breeding.

See my problem is, I had very op alpha pals with over 800 in game days played and the new updates comet event crashed my game and reset my save as if I never played on it. Sent a email right after it happened the morning the update dropped and still haven't heard anything back. Can't find a reason to start over if this is gonna happen again.

That might have been what happened to my save, then. I was able to manually revert to an older backup from the last day I played before the update and was able to continue that world from there. I don't know if it was required or not, but I fully loaded the (corrupted) save, created a new character, exited to the menu, and closed the game first. Then manually overwrote the save files from the backup files (instructions in the Palworld splash screen FAQ). After that all of my data was still there, minus about 20 minutes of playtime, and I could restore backups through the main menu again.

@@HughMungusXD you just breed it from a legendary onto something else. It randomly passes down like any other trait. For example earlier this week I used a Frostallion because it comes guaranteed with Legend and Ice emperor. I bred that with pal I had made to have Ferocious Muscle head and Burly Body. So after hatching a ton I ended up with a Fenglope that has Legend Ferocious Burly Body and Musclehead. Which I'm now using to breed my end game party pals. Currently trying for Grizzbolt

@@HughMungusXD Lucky also works the same way. They're just randomly passed down to the egg if the parent has it. Although I believe with lucky if you breed it down the egg pal will not be larger in size or have the sparkle icon. I believe if you breed lucky down it will only give you the trait and that's it.

Every passive that increases work speed on farming pals does allmost nothing (the animations of the pals when they drop the item are a little faster thats it) tho its not worth giving them these passives and rather give them other usefull passives.

One question: Just about everyone says everyone should get a Earth emperor, Flame emperor and all these.. but.. Why? Noone ever mentions a reason other than "you deal more damage". But... is that true? Adding 20% of an elements damage or adding 20% attack stat which influences your pals skills scalings anyway... seems pretty negligable in diffrence to me for the cost of type and attack versatility. A frostallion noct that uses ice attacks aswell... It won`t have 2 elemental buffs otherwhise both wouldn't deal as much. Just flat attack affects all attack elements. Whats the math behind damage dealt? Also defense is very slept on. Defense reduces a percentual damage amount based on that flat number. How much in dimishing return this gets I have no idea about but decreasing a higher number by a higher percentage can also result in a better combat prowess, though the big number simps defenitly would dislike that.

The same-type bonus stacks in addition to the 20%, so there's like a 6% buff compared to general Ferocious. It is slightly better, but it hurts the ability to specialize and pivot to different move fruits. Still, Lord of the Underworld and Divine Dragon on an Astegon is worth the effort.

Why are you still suggesting feeding your entire base on Red Berries? That's fine in the very beginning of the game when you don't have better food, but in the endgame, you should've unlocked better recipes to feed your Pals by now. If you feed them all on Red Berries, they're gonna be running back to the food box really often rather than doing the tasks you want them to do, and their SAN is gonna constantly be bottomed out.

It takes FOREVER to do anything and crafting is painfully slow.The added need for specific pals to make things work is again painful and a waste of time we shouldn't be making a game our life.
