Good tips! Let me add some more: 1. You don't need to write open/close enable/disable for doors and turrets. Just type the number to toggle that object between on and off 2. Most commands in the terminal can be shortened. For example: Instead of "route experimentation" and later "confirm", you can type exp and then c 3. You can always get back bodies easily with the teleporter. You'll lose the objects, but it's a zero risk way of recovering the bodies, even If they have fallen in pits 4. You can teleport someone that has been grabbed by a snare flea. 5. If your timing is right, you can free someone grabbed by the giant with the teleporter 6. If you have a shovel and a snare flea gets you, keep calm, don't move, pick your shovel again and hit. You'll free yourself 7. (Obsolete) Thumpers and spiders can't reach you on high places like railings, being easy killings 8. In stormy maps, drop a key on the supply drop spot. If eyeless dog appears, buy something. The noise of the drop pod will attract the dogs and the key will attract thunder, killing them all. 9. Loot bugs (those who steal, I don't remember the name) are really bad at turning around and can be killed easily if you circle them. 10. Thumpers loose all momentum if they get hit by the shovel, so they can be killed if your timing is right. 11. Type view monitor to see the player radar on the computer. You can keep using the walkie-talkie while using the computer. This way it's far easier to react and use doors, mines and turrets. 12. You are still faster than a spider while going backwards, so if you have plenty of space, you can kill it easily. 13. The nutcracker shoots twice before reloading. Take cover and wait for the opportunity to hit it. The nutcracker drops a shotgun and some shells that can one shot a Thumper. 14. The new radar booster function, flash, will temporally deactivate coil-heads. 15. DON'T USE THE MASK 16. Wait to be on the ship to open the presents, as it can give you a heavy object.

Sprint is your most valuable resource, don't keep sprinting fully or you will get fatigued, your stamina bar will take a long time to recharge and you will be so slow, I've outran giants multiple times just maintaining my stamina. Drop heavy items to stay alive, 50g is not worth dying if you have other items in your inventory.

You can pick items back up that you drop after a snare flea has grabbed your head, if you have a weapon like a shovel or sign (unsure if stun grenades or the zapgun works) you can hit the snare flea off your own head, preventing them from being a pretty much guaranteed death solo Also I'm pretty sure fines don't impact quota and only impact money you currently have to spend

Also youre correct the fine penalty only counts towards the money you have already earned meaning if you meet quota (and someone died on the company building) or just outside it you should probably use all or most of your money before leaving the company building

Tips for the giant spider: 1. when they spawn they place web close to them and sometimes they don't move so you can go past them (watch for their reaction when you get close to them) 2. if you get stuck in a web they will be alerted and start to come at you, DON'T hit the web with shovel/sign to destroy it because spider will be alerted, instead just avoid it unless you killed it already 3. you can kill the spider easily if you make it follow you and then jump on the railing, spider can't hit you when you stand on the railing (idk about other mobs), then just crouch and hit the spider

Tips for getting beehives: When you have multiple beehives within the ship area, place them on the sides of the ship, and after you pull the lever to leave the planet, quickly take them in, as leaving the planet will retain the beehive, but not the bees itself. This also allows you to not die to bees within the ship if you mess up closing the door

Most of these tips I discovered them with my friends and it feels very rewarding. I'm usually the Chair Guy, and I like moving the Terminal near the Monitor, because even if I use the Terminal as a Monitor too it's a lot easier to switch between cameras pressing the Monitor's button rather than writing "switch" every time. It helps manage 2-3 people more easily and also easier time teleporting them back in a bad situation. The only problem is that, as you said, if a sneaky Dog comes up to the Ship and I notice it too late then I'm probably gonna die. The idea of selling just the needed amount for the quota and keeping the rest for the next one was revealed to me in a vision, and I feel very proud of that because it's a BIG game changer to start the next quota with 2-400, hell even 50 helps a lot. And we can easily manage the first 2 quotas with $190 (60 start + 130 first quota) and getting a Teleporter on the third one. We've also been trying to sell the Bee Hives, but for now that's a war that the Bees are winning. Our start used to be 2 Walkies and a Pro Flashlight, but recently we've been doing Shovel + Flashlight without a Chair Guy and it works really fine. Communication is not a problem if you stay grouped all together or at least in pairs, and one normal Flashlight is enough if you manage it well. And the Shovel greatly helps to deal with Spiders, Thumpers and Fleas, which are some of the most common monsters.

For the beehive, you can get a friend to distract them and manage your staminas well. Then stick it on the side of the ship so the bees can hang out there, but won't go inside the ship or roam about - when you launch the bees will disappear but the hive will come with you.

Walkies are only worth it in the paid moons, and pretty useless with less than 3 people imo. My strat is to just get to the paid moons (preferably titan right away) after the first 1 or 2 quotas. And only take like a flashlight for everyone, 2 walkies and maybe a shovel if needed. Titan right away is a giga money farm if you know how to play it.

A strategy one of my teammates used when playing the other day was to use the moving furniture on the ship feature to build a makeshift wall halfway through the ship so the person left there wouldn't be at risk. Disclaimer: I have no idea if that actually works. It might but I wouldn't be surprised if the dog can just bash through or otherwise ignore the furniture.

A tip I learned was that you don’t have to type the whole name of something you usually only need to type the first 3 letters. Like if you want to go to assurance you just type “ass” or for experimentation it’s “exp” and for perching things it also works. Didn't see anyone mention this, sorry if I'm repeating something. If you jump on the railings inside the compound, many enemies will not be able to hit you. The Spider, the slime, and the thumper, all cannot hit you when on a railing. You can also use this opportunity to instead turn the tables on them and kill them with a shovel or a sign post. Another tip, for avoiding the earthworms, when you hear them approaching, the LAST thing you want to do is keep moving in the same direction. You can avoid them very easily by simply turning around and moving in the opposite direction. Also, the roof of your ship is the safest place to be at night, at least when dealing with eyeless dogs. Giants can still grab you from the roof, but if you hug the edges of the roof opposite from where they stand, you can avoid getting grabbed as well. One final thing, the ghost girl can and will kill you outside if she is haunting you. The only way to stop her from killing you is to loop her, which is very difficult to maintain without stamina, or exiting/entering the compound to reset her. And once she kills her target on a map, she will immediately begin haunting another player.

You can just have the person haunted never look behind them again. Tell them to go watch the ship monitor with a walkie when theyre haunted and youll be fine. She only attacks after youve looked at her a couple times, and always spawns behind the haunted person (never in front or sides)

Pro tip: Yell "we've got some lethal company!" when you spot a monster. Increases your silly meter by at least 50%. Edit: Real tip tho, have a friend attract the bees, grab the hive and make sure they follow you to the ship (drop the hive and get away for a bit so they'll stop following you and return to the dropped hive if you're running out of stamina and have your friend distract them again so you can pick it back up). Once you get to the ship, put the hive on the side rails of the ship away from the door. Since you made the bees follow you, they'll find the hive and chill in it for the rest of the run. Once you takeoff, the ship will leave the bees behind and you can safely run out into the rails and grab the hives. We've gotten up to 3 hives in one run doing this. Just make sure you don't place them in the back of the ship as the bees will clip through the ship and hit you when you take off. And dont worry about reaching orbit before you make it back inside the ship. It will teleport you back in if that happens.

Pro tip: if you are in a solo lobby (this does not work in multiplayer lobbies) and you are grabbed by a snare flea without a weapon, if you stand still there is a high chance the snare flea will let go of you. Usually it is good practice to stop moving when grabbed by snare fleas under most conditions as: A. If you have a weapon on your person, you can scan the ground and see where you dropped your shovel/sign and beat it off your own head B. It makes your friend with a shovel have an easier time hitting it off C. You can stumble into an environmental hazard such as a land mine, pit, turret or monster

Spray paint is a game changer. I put one spot one the side of the door/hallway corresponding to which way I need to turn after passing through it. This is invaluable when diving deep or when trying to outrun an enemy to the exit. Cons: The marks don't seem to despawn until your quota is reset, so once you get into the higher quotas you'll see some marks in random places. Buy another can of paint to change up the color and keep rolling.

One tip that a lot of players seem to not know, is that after 5-6PM, that’s when monsters tend to spawn, that is what a veteran happened to tell me in a public lobby and we would get atleast 170 scrap per day within this harder deadline. So it’s recommended that you don’t exceed 5PM to 6PM if you want to grind xp for ranking up But if you want to have a fun time playing with friends I would ignore this tip, often times you’ll find over serious lobbies and they will kick people out if they find you are just being jokey-jokey. But good thing that it’s kinda hard to find these sort of lobbies:) Bonus tip: don’t queue planets with events going on, for new players that is essential to know but honestly finding out why is part of the fun so ignore the warning if you want to have a fun time with friends or if you want to prank them lol 😂

Also I forgot to mention, if you so happen to get a friend to suck on your head while your getting loot: A: memorize beforehand where you have to go to reach the nearest fire exit, due to a certain glitch if you exit the fire exit before the face muncher kills you, it will completely disappear and will never bother you again. (It might be patched soon) B: get a friend to either wack it with a shovel or if he/she does not have one, your friend should show you the route telling you where it is by following their voice.

A tip for giga money, go to titan ASAP. You can get 4k per run (although near impossible, but usually like 500-1000) and the entrance is literally right next to the ship. You dont need to worry about the monsters outside much as you can just do a leap of faith right from the last floor of the staircase (before the ladder) right into the ship, over all possible monsters. Just grab shit normally until ~5pm, and then take a final load for everyone and jump away!

A fair few of these are literally said in the intro of the game the first time you play. Most of the other ones are just what you learn after the first few games. Not what, "only pros know..." I was really hoping you'd cover the more nuanced things for experienced players sake, such as how Brackens growl if you look at them for too long as a warning to look away, or a Jester only unaggros after everyone has left the building for a certain time, or even if you're solo/not near anyone, and a snare flee latches onto you, don't panic, just look down, scan, and if you had a shovel, you can pick it back up, and get it off your face On top of that last one, only pros would knows to slowly enter the room keeping eyes focused to the roof/corners of the roof for the aforementioned flees. In addition, spiders still respond if you smack webs with a weapon - but if you're on a railing, they cannot attack you. They're basically ankle biters. Also, saving for the quota is kinda common sense. That's literally a second quota learning thing if you don't sell everything on the first. This does have downsides doing it your way early game- with saving, since if you want overtime to easily get to further moons quicker, selling everything exceeding quota, is better because its easier to acquire overtime pay. Though, later moons, and higher quotas, I can side with this tip.

Pro tips: in the terminal theres a command called "other" it shows you the "hidden" view monitor command you were talking about lol, you can also open the secure doors by flipping the breaker, you can stun and kill thumpers, baboon hawks, and spiders (all be it spiders are really difficult. thumpers you just run circles around because they turn slow), you can blow up landmines with stun grenades from a safe distance and if you find yourself on top of one ive heard you can drop objects on the middle of it the keep it from blowing up but you loose an item obviously. Edit: for those that wonder what the edit was it was some grammar and had made a slightly incorrect statement about the walkie which i removed. Also seems like nothing can really touch you on railings so use this to your advantage Another pro tip: you can type on the terminal "flashlight 2" for example and buy 2 flashlights without having to type it multiple times note you can only have 12 items per delivery.

Fun tip you can grab the hives and put them on the side railing of the ship, they don’t get aggressive and they’ll still stay in their next, ONLY WHEN TAKING OFF you grab the hives and put them inside and it’s the same for multiple hives, so long you grabbed them when still on the ship, you’ll be teleported inside with it in hand if you are holding it Edit: unless you’re skilled at it you can also single handily take the bees, it’s all about baiting and running, just have hardly anything weighing you down

Something about bunker spiders I see a lot of people miss, once they have aggro on one person they will ignore everyone else to kill the one person, if you walk in front of it, it’ll still attack you but you can just side step and it’ll ignore you. About circuit bees. You can also put them on the ship roof or catwalk and after starting the ship just collect them.

You can also sell the game instructions for 5. You can put the hive at the front of the ship to pick up when the shio starts lifting off. You can bait dogs by hitting the ground a silent steping to the side. You can avoid and kill thumpers and bunker spiders by jumping on a rail and from there hitting them with a sign or shovel. If a head worm jumps on you and you have a shovel or sign, scan the ground and pick up your weapon, then if you hit the worm will fall of your head, or try standing absolutely still and it might fall off when you are at critical health. You can trap mob behind pressure doors. Or lure mob into a closed space behind a pressure door, and teleport out. Also you can keep giants distracted by standing on the ship roof near the front while your team gets back safely and jump back in after take off.

any enemy can spawn on any planet as far as i'm aware. forest giants can spawn on dusty planets (assurance and offense) for example. its just more likely for some enemies to spawn on some planets, such as forest giants on forest planets (vow and march) or baboon hawks on dusty planets (assurance and offense)

I have a tip for moons, march and vow have the highest spawn rates for a Bracken which is what gives my group the most trouble. Unless the other moons have events on them you want to avoid I recommend sticking with offence and experimentation because they have much lower spawns for brackens

a good tip to never lose a day is doing alt+f4 or quitting the game the first second you died and it will reset the day but not the event of the map, but it will change the seed so if your seed sucks you can do that to reset it and if lucky get a better seed with nice loot and you can do it in multiplayer too

When it comes to handling doors and turrets from the terminal, you dont even need to type "open" or "disable". Say you have a door labebled "c4", just type that and it will open/close it. Same with turrets, just typing the name on the turret will disable it.

Ship horn will attract giants and dogs so if the horn is placed near the front monitor then the dogs will stay out at front UNLESS they spawn behind the ship then they’ll walk toward the noise and find their way inside- so be cautious of this tool.

Tip 1) never angle your terminal like that Ure just blocking the teleporter button in the future tip 2) only the write the code the u see on the screen no need to type "disable X" or "open X" tip 3) unless the loot outside is in a hard to get position Baboon hawks will try to steal your stuff so it's a good idea to have someone move loot back very early on in maps where they spawn

Beehive tip: Leave hive at the front catwalk of the ship. When lifting off wait til bees get left behind before going out to grab the hive. You really only need to be holding it, and will be teleported inside with hive in hands.

Generally i see people closing doors of spaceship when giants are nearby and their teammate is still outside or for any reason... What if you put the bed in spaceship in front of doors or terminal or cupboard.... like i think cupboards have collision with mobs.... it would be absurd to not have it... then you can just put the door in front of doors and take it immediately when ur teammate arrives...

I know one of my friends isn't a massive fan of someone staying in the ship, to you Drybear, and to anyone else too! I ask; Would you say that its worth having someone in the ship? I know in your video you said it is, but I was curious to know the majority's opinion. We did develop a Strat which involved us going in with a full squad and separating into teams of two. Which was met with varying degree's of success, it wasn't bad! By any means, and I'm sure different crew's will have different preferred strats when it comes to how they go get loot, and on what level's/Moon's to do them on, but somewhere deep inside I'm on the side of needing at least 1 person on the ship imo.

The seeds are randomly generated, so sometimes you have a turret you can't get past or a door that needs to be opened to continue. Having someone run back to type it in ruins their purpose for that run. They will get one or two items at most or be the item jockey. So having someone in the ship is worth it because they save you a lot of time by telling you there are no items that direction. Also the bracken is coming up behind you. Saving a life is potentially 3 or 4 items carried to the ship. Totally worth!

if its a team of 4 friends, 1 person take a singular talkie, leave the other on the ship 1 person just do an early 4 item delivery back to base and then hop onto terminal, it speeds up having only 3 people inside while 1 guy perma stays on ship

After some hours, I recently volunteered to stay in the ship because we were having issues with turrets. I now realize that you are just crippling yourself not having someone be at the ready in the ship. I've saved my team by closing doors, warning them if enemies around corners, and of course the teleporter. Also, if the team dies, it's best to have someone who stays back as insurance to prevent a team wipe, and that's a bonus if you can teleport your crew's bodies back. Though I'd prefer if we could all go in, you lose a lot of benefits for NOT having someone stay at the terminal, and you increase the amount of risk poised on the team

There's definitely key benefits to having a ship man. Primary among them is if something REALLY bad goes down inside the facility or outside the ship, at least one person survives to preserve the loot. No monster normally enters the ship and has to be attracted in by sound or something else. Secondary is with walkie talkies you can let people know where loot is, disable turrets, open doors, and also warn people there's monsters nearby. You can also teleport people that have snare fleas or giants trying to eat them, and you can teleport dead bodies out of the facility without somebody having to carry them back.

The normal one does not always have 3. Every map has a specific value that indicates how many points worth of monsters can spawn. Every monster is worth a specific amount of points and theres a limit of how many of the same one can spawn. Mansion doesnt change the value at all (although mansion is almost exclusive to rend and dine)

Not a lot of real "PRO" tips in this video. Almost everything was basic stuff you learn in like 1-3 runs. What I can say for sure is do NOT move the terminal where he put it in this video. That extra space to the left of the monitor is where the teleporter buttons go. He completely covered them up. Also, don't bother using the terminal as a monitor- it's way more trouble than it's worth. It covers up the screen so you can't really see what you're typing or what was pulled up with your commands. Just use the monitor as the monitor and the terminal as the terminal.

Not forever but until you get fired (dont meet the quota on time). They can only teleport players, but all items will be dropped. Normal teleporter tps the person (or body) that youre watching on the camera, inverse teleports everyone inside the teleporter into a random place in the facility (ive gotten stuck between pipes, friend spawned ON a landmine, its just a meme item dont buy it seriously)
