I cannot say enough good things about this video. Without it, I would not have had a clue as to how to repair my LG Tronn dryer. But this video is 100% accurate, and very simple to follow. Probably saved lots of $$$$ from not having to have a repair service come out. I did not know for certain that the thermal fuse was the reason it did not heat. So taking it apart was necessary. I removed the fuse, checked it with a volt meter and found that it was bad. So I ordered the replacement part feeling confident that was the right move. It was!

Was very helpful, I disassembled my LG gas dryer a couple weeks ago and it took 10 days to get the parts , so watching the video helped me to recall how to repair and put the appliance back together. Thank you.

I found out what was wrong with my LG dryer (model # DLE2050W) using repairclinic.com's videos but used your video to take apart and put back together my dryer. And it was easy with your thorough instructions! Thank you so much for posting this video. I repaired it for under $15 by myself. Ever so grateful.

Thanks for the awesome movie. I don't consider myself handy, but you made this super easy to follow. And I just saved a boat load of money fixing it myself. Thank you!

Bill here...I just did this home project. I thought it was going to be the Heating Coils, but once I had it all apart, I was able to test the coil (good), but found that both of the Thermostat sensors were bad. I also found that one of the drum rollers was shot. So, about $35 later, and it's working great! The one thing I would have suggested, was to really clean everything while it's apart. Amazing how much doghair, dirt, and lint were all around the motor, coils, and inner workings.

Hey Bill! You're absolutely right, while you have your dryer apart, it is always a good idea to give everything a thorough cleaning. As you mention, these machines tend to be a magnet for all kinds of dust and debris! Thanks for watching the video and leaving your comment, and best of luck with your repair!

Excellent video! Just one problem: when I lifted out the drum some sort of white protective shield for knocked off and landed in the back left corner and I have no idea where it came from. I think it came from the corner of the dryer that you didn't show once. Side note: label ALL your screws where they came from. I have about 7 or 8 extra screws that I have no clue where they go and since I had to wait 3 days for the past to arrive I forgot where I got them from....oops. But all that's my fault, really excellent video!

I have a high efficiency LG dryer DLE4801W that has the controls at the back/top (the kind that doesn't have pedestals). Would the procedure be basically the same? I also read somewhere that some people can get to the thermal fuse through the vent hole in the back.

We have not had any experience with the top control models, but access through the front would be required as well.

How do you know if it is bad? Also ours dose not turn heat on any more. How can I Ck that to. Thk
@slowpoke45574 жыл бұрын
I bought a multimeter to test it. Everything BUT the heat worked on mine.

Maybe it's just my dryer, but the "pull it back a little bit" part was very difficult. The top would not slide easily...had to pry it off.

will the thermal fuse cause the drum to not spin? I've already checked the belt that's not the problem.

I watched the video but I never saw you change the fuse. You were so far away I wasn’t sure what you were doing. The next thing I know you were closing things up. I’m confused

AAAAH GEEZ MAN............ This can't be the easiest way to get to the damn heating element........ GEeeeeeeeeZ!

Actually I got to it by simply moving the vent in the back

Such a poorly designed machine in terms of ease of access for maintenance. Such a common thing to be replaced why on earth its a bit like taking the engine out of a car to change the spark plugs. good video well done.

GEEZ!!! I gotta take the whole thing to bits just to change the freaking fuse!? AAAAH GEEZ MAN! .......... yeah yeah yeah i get it, "it's not that hard". I have like 1.2 feet of work space and the thing has some extra drawer on the bottom, it is about 2 feet taller than this 1. But SERIOUSLY this looks like it is going to be a NIGHTMARE! :-(

Well crap go that far. sell them a roller and belt kit. What crap they make now. Don't make access through the back or the side. No. Dismantle the dam machine. Really crap engineering.
