Crabapples (or an apple cut up), cinnamon sticks and rosemary smell great in a simmer pot. Around Christmas we enjoy cranberries, orange slices (i dehydrate fruit so usually use the dried orange slices), cinnamon sticks, all spice, rosemary and nutmeg. One of my relatives will also add cloves and pieces of evergreen to this mix.

Even though Rosemary would be really great if it was freshly picked, I have to buy mine in a bottle because I need the essential oil because I like the fact the research done on it states that Rosemary and Myrrh cross the blood brain barrier, so whether you sniff it or put it into a lotion or a carry oil you will benefit from it.

I've got a huge rosemary bush that we use when cooking. Just wandered why you are drying it?

Just preserving them. I have a feeling they will die off in the heat of our summer. So gonna store them dried in glass jars!
