Drysuit Diving With Woolpower In Iceland

Here in iceland we dive in some of the coldest waters in the world. Therefore, staying warm during our dives is probably our biggest challenge. Having tried a variety of thermal undergarments over the years, we recently had the pleasure of testing Woolpower of Sweden. After a 3-4 months of using Woolpowers garments we at Magmadive are happy to recommend these as a superior alternative to the more traditional 'woolly bear' outfit worn by dry suit divers. Woolpower products are produced from Patagonian sheeps wool found in Argentina, before being sent to Sweden where they are handmade from start to finish by one seamstress. Hi, I just came across your review. Its nice to get some honest feedback on Wool-power clothing. You have quite a cold environment to work in, Diving in Iceland. I studied conservation and spend many years working in a mix of outdoor, gardening, habitat set ups. As an encouragement for people with learning difficulties. In the long term, I am planning to set up an educational project. I have used a mix of Helly Hansen and Woolpower base layers. One long arm flees, and several wool jumpers. Now its time to update my clothing...most is badly worn out.

Hi David and Kevin, I'm headed to dive in Iceland in 2017, and am very interested in the Woolpower layering system for my undergarments. Two questions: 1) What thickness (strength) was the baselayer you wore with the 400 gm vest and 600 gm jacket? 2) Are you still using the base/400/600 layering system from Woolpower when you dive or are you back to the thicker undergarment you used in the "How to Drysuit Dive Like a Pro" video? Thanks for your entertaining videos! Bob P.S. Last one...what about on your legs? 400 gm Woolpower pants probably, but anything under that against your skin, or just the 400 gm Woolpower pants (I'm assuming). THANKS!

Hi team, nice review, I'm in the market for a new suit. After 12 years "it shrunk".... few questions; how does this compare to tech dive undersuit systems from the setled brands like lets say bare, fourth element, no gravity? what exactly were you wearing, 200 top+bottom or 400? 400 bodywarmer an a 600 vest? on you feet? trilaminate dry I guess. How does this feel above water in the wind while doffing?
