The ghost of Josette special effect is creepy but looks cool at the same time, when you consider it was done for '60s television.

Little David Henesy was quite the young actor. Although I don't always "approve" of the character and his "Infernal" behaviour at times, I certainly DO believe I will have another Brandy...Wait!! What am I talking about? !!! Where in Blazes AM I ?? Josette ?? Is that you ? Won't you join me for draught?

Cyan Blackflower He had led an interesting life! He retired from acting after Dark Shadows, then went on to open a number of posh gourmet restaurants inside and outside of the United States. David is married, in his late fifties, grown children, and resides in Panama City, Panama.

Roger can't wait to get rid of his son. I always felt sad for David, even if he was psychotic. Who could blame him with such screwed up parents?

Janadu Roger isn't even sure that David is his son and neither are the writers at this point. It's more likely than not that he's Burke's son. Plus, the little brat is weird and he's causing friction. I would tell him not to let the screen door hit him in his ass on the way out the door. Him and Burke.

scdevon I know this is a tv show, but for pete's sake...this child is part phoenix. He's been rejected by dear dad from day one. I feel sorry for him. I'm glad he at least has a mother figure in Liz and a friend in Vicky

Monday morning August 1st 2016 I hope the girls and the doctor do not let Roger know about the séance because the first thing he will refuse to it which she has no say so and think it's ridiculous, then he would let his wife know and then she will pick in her tears with her mental game that she's playing with Elizabeth why Elizabeth lays in a hospital where she never wanted to be in the first place. But Elizabeth being further away in the hospital those powers of the ex-wife should have been diminishing. It seems to be the strength of the ex-wife's evil mental game he's playing is stronger than everyone expected. If they don't do anything soon I feel something bad is going to happen to David because how the ex-wife/ mother of David talked about going far away I don't think she means on planet Earth. Does anyone well anyone that has been putting comments down agree with me, if so leave a reply................

I so wish that Laura had stuck around , it would've been cool to see how things might have played out between David and his mother later on in the series. Of course, for David's sake, Elizabeth and Vicki made much better role models!

still Monday morning August 1st in the time of this episode 18:14 Josette Collins the spirit is approaching that evil ex wife. That evil Laura says to just stay away and unfortunately just turned away but if they have that séance all of the spirits will go after that evil witch Laura and I hope they destroy Lara because I really think Laura is nothing but a spirit herself because her body was burned up in that Arizona apartment. Who agrees on my thoughts ------------

Chas Z, I've seen these episodes before and, regarding Laura, you're only half right. I won't say any more, though, because I don't want to spoil the...I mean her..."ending" for you.

They invite a specialist in the supernatural to the house, yet Vicky says "Séance?" like the idea came out of left field. Yes dear, a séance; that's these guy's bread & butter. Laura is super creepy BTW. She looks at David like a psycho stalker & talks about such obsessive nonsense. It gives me the willies which I guess is the point. I want to see a supernatural smackdown between her & Jossette. That would definitely be entertaining! 👾

My big question is that Laura is allowed to come back every 100 years, but what is her life span? And if she is so powerful as a phoenix, then why did she have a nervous breakdown and was confined to a sanitarium?

So when Victoria Winters went back to 1795, where was Laura during that time? She obviously knows Josette, but during the 1795 episodes, Laura was nowhere to be found. And yet, in the 1897 episodes (consistent with Laura coming back every 100 years), we see Laura doing battle with Angelique, Barnabas, Count Petofi and Quentin. The show loses consistency when Laura comes back in 1966, only around 70 years after her last life cycle.

Josette to the rescue. Was it just me, or did Josette's ghost kind of look like Mrs. Johnson (Clarice Blackburn?) in this episode.

+Thomas Leary It clearly was not Katherine Leigh Scott, who normally portrayed the ghost of Josette.

+Thomas Leary Do you remember the actress Florence Stanley, the gravelly voiced woman who played the wife of the policeman Fish, played by Abe Vigoda (from Barney Miller, and then later on the show entitled Fish)? Well, she actually provided the voice of the crying and wailing Josette (remember how low and almost masculine that was, I mean, it did not sound as if it were coming from such a young and feminine woman like Josette). This other version of the ghost of Josette could have been Florence Stanley. Obviously, they could not use Katherine Leigh Scott, since this was a cameo and non-speaking appearance. (Contract agreements and all). Whatever the case, this woman was much shorter than the actual Josette.

Here is another one. Do you remember Judith Lowry, the wise acre little old lady who took on so many funny character roles in sitcoms? Her biggest role was Mother Lindstrom in the TV show Phyllis starring Cloris Leachman. Well, she was already old in the 1960s, and her hands were used when Angelique was being punished by a rival force who caused her hands to age. All you saw was Judith's hands for two or three seconds!
