I disagree... This review is soooo biased. (For the note, I own a ds3 and I do know its flaws, it is not the best car in the world) But they always act as if it is a new car while he has said everything about the seats what he said in others videos. Does not mention the hifi system which is way better than most cars. Always the 3 door talk while it IS A HOTHATCH!! This is like saying, yeah the aventador is not good... Only has 3 doors... It is not supposed to have 5 doors... It is a hothatch and not a hatchback... Also for the manual glove box story I really do not get what he is talking about... Mine fits perfectly fine and even has room for cds and a scratcher... Also the back space is such a lie... I am 6'2 and in my driving position there is room for people of Mat's height... I have it many time, sure it is not the best for long drivers but it is not a crowded as he says, he exaggerates. Also he does not mention the nice feature which his not present on his oh so favored mini does not have... Ahum, like corner turning lights. Btw, clumsy info system? Sounds more like an old man can't figure out how to make it work... Never heard anyone young complaining about it... Anyways like always, for every British person, mini is the best, just look at the reviews and the rest is crap...

+kurt roepke I have had a few issues with my ds3. I had unfortunately 3 times to change the battery because it kept dying and they did not know what it was first though. Although no it's fine and never had issues. Although some panels start to rattle a bit after 4 years of owning (130k kms...)
@ihavenousername18058 жыл бұрын
Lol the ds3 is not a hot hatch. The THP only has 165hp and that's their sportiest model. Granted, it probably feels reasonably nippy because they're so light, but hot hatches from 10-15 years ago would still walk all over them.
@adrianbarrett45446 жыл бұрын
Had a go in one these the other day: low slung seating position, brilliant seats, great fun to drive. I was actually quite impressed. I hope the next DS3 is also available as a 3 door because the number of small cars now available as five door only is making everything look like a boring family car ie Polo, Fiesta, C3, 208...

I got a ds3 as my first car in 2014, still driving it today and haven't had any problems apart from needing the tyres changed, I was thinking of upgrading and getting a jag or something but to me that money is better put towards other things, I like my car, it's reliable, I've driven from the south of England to Scotland with no stops in comfort just using cruise control, I have the 1.2 but to me it feels fast enough, I even got challenged in a street race by a BMW the other day 😂 made me laugh so I accepted and the ds3 held up pretty well, it's a bit noisy and the speakers could be a bit better but I've grown to love it and will keep driving it until it decides to check out

Why is Carwow renaming their old reviews as 2018? This video was posted in 2016. I have seen many instances. Stop fooling around.
@Akinto7106 жыл бұрын
Maybe it's because the 2016-2018 is the same model so it's better for search optimization when it's the exact same car you buy factory new today? I agree it should maybe be 2016-2018 instead, but that probably does worse in searches.

Great video, liking the depth of these Carwow videos. A fair and honest review of the DS3. I drive a 2013 model and can fully vouch for most of its flaws. Space isn't a huge issue for me but the in-car storage is admittedly poor and forward visibility could be better. Having said that, I have struggled to find a replacement car that mixes fun dynamics with ride quality and comfort as well as the DS3 does. The new grille is even growing on me...

Fuel economy is brilliant also the only down side is it tells you to change gear far to early I need to turn that off it really bugs me it would probably cost you £5000 for mine now new it was £30000 and it’s only done 43 000 miles I’m an old man now so I seriously think I will keep it until I Kop it. It is very comfy and sound quality on the speakers is really good, especially as mine has a built in small Citroen sub woofer in the boot which came with the car. Downsides... It's been in the garage about 9 times in 10 months for electrical repairs. Mechanically, it's good. The 1.6 turbo petrol is a BMW engine.

Good review. Good car. I still miss the fun factor of my old ds3. Do we need a practicality,360 and infotainment video separately though? Just do it all in one. Especially the infotainment one because as you do more reviews you will end up reviewing the same systems from the same manufacturers. If you did a Juke v 2008 v i20 review you have already done their systems on other models.
@carwow8 жыл бұрын
True that - but these little vids are for people on our website thinking about buying a car. So someone looking to buy a DS3 won't have seen the review for a Peugeot 308. Thank you for the post. I've had two Ds3's. One reliable, (Apart from an injector problem) and a new DS3 which was PANTS. It started by being attacked by urban rats eating through the wiring loom underneath the 'Ad Blue' auxiliary tank. Apparently rats like the smell of the chemicals in the diesel additive? Nice excuse Citroen...... This was 2 Days from new....... Now, most busses use the same auxiliary tank. So, why don't they get attacked???? Then, our beautiful car started undressing itself. The trim underneath the passenger door fell off at 65mph, the door mirrors failed and wouldn't reset. 2 oil leaks and a new windscreen later......The electric windows failed.....eerm.... Great fun, a great looker. It was a Wobbly drive at speed, country lanes where always fun and a quick hand to correct any bumps during cornering was needed. Fun....When It worked. (Just don't go for the metallic paint by the way.... That purple in the car in the video......which I had. The paint being so thin shows up every scratch from hedgerows and motorway grit. Also impossible to polish out) It was a nice family friend. One last thing......I'm disabled. The car I owned lasted less than a year. What sort of 'Trouble Free Motoring' does Citroen think they're giving. The fecking thing was put together with dried seaweed and snot. Just a quick observation :-) True story.

Why is my car switching off every time i brake and then started again.

It's most likely the eco system, I have manual diesel version with it fitted, I'm guessing from the wording of your comment that you have an automatic. It's perfectly normal for the car to do it as that's what it's designed to do to save fuel when your stationary, it can be deactivated by using the right most of the three buttons by the drivers right knee, it you have a UK one, if its a continental one, it'll be by your left knee I would imagine. Hope this answers your questions 😊

Would this be good for a first car? Maybe a older year, 2015 or something? I've been trying to find a good car but everyone points me in the same direction of a Fiesta or a Golf etc. Thing is, I'd want something that's different, and with a good interior & exterior (along with the obvious good costs etc) whilst i do understand everyone is essentially looking for that, i was wondering if you guys have any suggestions. Many thanks

Yes there is no room in the rear but it makes it very good for a tuning car I’m thinking roll cage ripped out interior

Just two things i want to mention carwow Neither are a problem Lol - 1. Nearly every Video he says the word 'Audi' 2. He walks exactly like James May Thats all
@carwow8 жыл бұрын
There is a reason for the word Audi... The A1 is a rival. And then we group test the car against an A1. If I mentioned the word Peugeot, Ferrari, Dacia or thingymagig it would be more incongruous, no?

I walk weird cos one leg is about 1.5cm longer than the other. Used to have a complex about it. Remember this girl I fancied at school taking the piss out of the way I walked. I then tried to change my walk to impress her - but ended up with this self-conscious labored hobble a bit like Asimo with a palsy.
