DS3: Dancer of the Boreal Valley Theme (Extended)

There's an eerie beauty to the Dancer, I think. She treats the encounter with you like a waltz, and fights with the grace and skill her name implies.

I love sound of her footsteps... and her breath. Like she is whispering something into your ear. Also animation and that waving, transparent piece of cloth as she moves... For me this battle is - and always will be - an amazing experience.

I love it so much too, there is also a correlation between her and the knights of pontiff and how they dance and battle you in game as well. Pontiff being really the only one whom doesn't do that of the boreal valleys enemies.

This one was a pain to loop properly. Just like in Bloodborne, DS3 boss themes have a different intensity depending on the boss' HP. For this theme there is quite a rapid transition between the two intensities, so I had to cut that out to conceal the loop transitions. That lead to further complications with syncing everything up. -_- (Also, I have no further plans to make any more extended themes for Souls music. The focus of this channel will be on creating my own content, not altering the work of others.)

I've yet to get into the Dark Souls franchise, but I came across this song thanks to an analysis on the Dancer of Boreal Valley boss on The Game Theorists channel. Then I heard this bone-chilling song...and was enraptured. I have a strange love for creepy songs like this...this fits my tastes perfectly. Yours truly, a metalhead.

They've done it. A boss that can't be beaten by staying behind it. Because if you try to do that, you will see it.... the secret weapon which is an irresistable guaranteed 1shot. On a more serious note, I am amazed by how well this music goes with the atmosphere and pacing of the fight as well as her way of moving and attacking. And I'm also glad they bring back the BB formular for bosses with different stages and different intensity for both gameplay and music!

It fits the fight as it sets the pace. Listen to the song and find the beat in the strings. The boss moves and attacks in a different time, I.E.3/4 time, not 4/4 like all other enemies. It's why the boss is so hard. For a basic attack. It's: beat 1 (windup) beat 2 (pause) downbeat of 3 (wait) upbeat of 3 (attack delivered.) just go watch the Game Theory on it .-.

They was she moves is very unique in a Souls game. The only letdown was that she was pretty easy to beat if you stay behind her, just like almost every other Souls boss.

Its amazing how they've adopted an opera-orchestra based approach to the bosses in Bloodborne and now Dark Soul 3, and made it so dynamic as the battle gets intense. I hope most stages in DS3 get their own music - something like the Hypogean Gael or Upper Cathedral Ward in Bloodborne. Anyways, nice video bro, with love from UK.

Definitely my favourite boss in the game. When i first fought her i felt intoxicated. There is something about the way she moves... she is so majestic and beautiful. I died like 20 times and i didn't rage at all. I usually rage very easily at video games but everytime she killed me i just wanted more and more. When i eventually defeated her i felt genuinely sad. I wanted her to dominate me some more. I wanted her to do that grab attack on me some more... I just wanted more of her. When i finally finish this game she is going to be my only reason to play again. Im gonna fight her with an unupgraded longsword and im gonna die to her many... many times. She is the only reason i think ds3 is better than ds1... Damn i need help.

Eh. I personally don't buy that. DS2 was DS1 fan fiction IMO, so I don't think there's any connection between them. It just borrows some themes and characters. I'm hoping DS3 does the same thing. I'd prefer it if each game had its own lore even if they all share things like estus, hollows, and bonfires.

The movement of this boss is cool and unique, but slightly unsettling this song fits how eerie and downright creepy this boss is. I was looking at her blades ones made of fire leaving marks like a tracer... a gold tracer the other smoke like silver, those blades hold an striking resemblance to Lords blade Cirans tracers...

After beating Aldrich, suddenly you are teleported to the lothric cathedral and then appears that fuckin armored smooth monstrosity and then the music starts. The adrenaline booost like a fuckin tiger and youre gonna die couple time before killing that boss.

After you kill Aldrich, the Old woman priest bring you to the Lothric Church and tells you about the way to bring Lorian and Lothric to the throne. If you kill her before the fight with Aldrich the Dancer starts the fight after you use the vessel.

I don't think it's ethical upload music unless you own it or you've put something into it, so I either put my gameplay over it or I alter the song itself. (That's just me. You of course can upload whatever you please.) I enjoy making extended versions, but I don't want that to be the focus of this channel. Making videos _can_ be a pain, but until the pain becomes greater than the pleasure, I'll continue doing it. :)

Judging from the music and my general sense of the souls series, I have a feeling, and this is just a guess, but I believe that the Frigid Valley may be a place like the Abyss, if not part of the Abyss itself. It began spreading its corruption and mutating people (Like Oolacile) and the Lord of Light at the time sent in a brave warrior to take care of it, however this warrior failed like Artorias, however, not only was she corrupted but she was also turned into this thing called the Dancer of the Frigid Valley. I know this is probably stupid and has already been confirmed wrong but still I'd like to believe this is a boss with a tragic backstory. I guess its a lady anyway, I mean... that ass, no man can have that.

Great theme and it was a really exciting battle! Bloodborne has way better OST than any Souls game so far, while DS3 seems to be composed by Sakuraba again, I'm expecting he's doing better job than ever before.

Bloodborne definitely has the best music, but then I guess music is pretty subjective. I really like Demon's Souls' music too, but it's crappy quality. FROM didn't have money for that stuff back then. We can only pray they remaster it.
