I can honestly say that I think Garak is one of the best developed characters in Star Trek. I had a few drinks so it's bold to say the best, but in his time with the franchise his character is well plotted out, your emotional feelings about him are ambiguous, his actual acting with regards to delivery and expression are amazing, Andrew Robinson brings life to the character and even when done up in makeup and prostheses, he allows Garak to come through emotionally with his facial expressions. Not just emotionally but historically, as in the history of the character. I have loved every iteration of Star Trek that I have encountered. I love Discovery, and Michael is amazing as a character and as we see she may evolve past Garak but, until then, kudos.

The problem with discovery is it suffers from a lot of the same issues of early TNG and DS9 plus all the issues of Voyager. The writers have their heads too far up their own asses so the series suffers a lot at times. There's potential though. They just need someone capable enough to bring it out. I don't think anyone on Discovery will ever rival Garek in terms of depth and complexity, especially with how he turns out in the end as the reluctant leader his people desperately need.

@@RequiemPoete But if they are speaking Klingon, the translator should have translated. Not the first time this has happened, even without cursing.

IMO Garak was the best character in all the star trek shows.

Odo should of changed his uniform on the spot, just to see is the Klingon had any balls with him.

Attacking someone five to one hardly seems in keeping with Klingon ideas of honor.

Scratch that; doesn't seem like Worf's idea of honor.

The Klingons have no honour, ganging up on one unarmed individual!
