I have a M-Audio Pro 49, I also bought the Akai Mpc Studio mk2 last month it came with the full version of MPC 2.0 software. Plus you can use all expansion packs & Mpc Studio mk 2 controller with the Mpc Beats too.

Just found this video, thanks for uploading. I’m looking at getting an Oxygen Pro to use with Pro Tools and I’m hoping it will work with all the Avid effect plugs, specifically the moogerfooger delay. Do you know if it does ?

Great videos...very helpful. Quick question if you have time. I purchased the Oxygen Pro 49. Downloaded Velvet and it functions well with the controller but I can’t get Pro Tools Studio to recognize the plug-in when I’m working in the Daw. Is this version of the Velvet not compatible with Pro Tools. Thanks again for your work.

I just set this up it would of been good yesterday. Oh well I still figured it out eventually. I Also updated my midi controller and presets watching your youtube seires on the oxygen pro mini so thanks for that. Now I just need to learn how to set up reason 12. I got some stuff working but a few of the buttons dont work like play and record. Any chance you could do a reason 12 video. There a $1 1 month trial. Thanks again for all the help. Im still learning as much as I can.

I am new to this whole music creation, and I've purchased an M-Audio Oxygen Pro Mini 32 key (hasn't arrived yet). What would any of you say is the easiest / best Daw to use? I have off and on tried FL Studio but still having issues understanding how the whole thing works.

It depends a bit on what kind of music you want to produce and they all have a learning curve to some extent. that being said, I started with Mackie Tracktion (now Tracktion Waveform) and used that for years. I found it was pretty easy to learn and had a lot of features. They have a full featured free version you could try. It’s better for multi-tracking compared to something like MPC Beats which is better for looping/beat making, so again, depends on what type of music you want to record. Others might have some better recommendations too!

Yo, DSoundman! I so like yr recommendation of the Oxygen ProMini that I eventually bought it. Installation was a breeze... save for a setback: When I invoke Cubase Version 10 & click on the Add Instrument, I can't see Hybrid 3, Mini Grand & Velvet Plugins. I can only see MPC Beats under 'Other' in the DAW. Can you advise how I can solve this issue? FYI, I can invoke all the 3 plugins in MPC Beat after the installation. Appreciate very much yr help on this!!

Hey thanks! I’m not familiar with Cubase, but sometimes you have to point the plug-in location within DAWs to the location you installed the plugins for it to recognize them (maybe in the preferences/settings type menu). If the plug-in location is okay, maybe there’s a way to re-scan for new plugins? Again, i’m not familiar with Cubase, but hopefully this helps!

@@DSoundman Its OK; fiddled with Cubase, based on yr suggestion. Found that Cubase actually parked the plugins under a 'Blacklist' folder !! After accessing the folder, all I had to do was to re-activate the 3 plugins. And they were incorporated back into the VST Plugin folder. So it's all system go - for incorporating the 3 new -Audio plugins in Cubase. Thanks for the guidance, man!!

M-Audio accounts are inMusic accounts now, and likewise M-Audio Software Manager is gone, it's inMusic Software Center now.

it's a royal pain setting up all the software, you have to make multiple accounts with m audio and something called i lock. things hang and grind. after 20 minutes I gave up, I'll just run it thru my synth. who tests these things before they put it up for sale? sorry, it shouldn't be that hard to get the stupid thing to play piano sounds
