Yeah, that's how the game is designed. You gain more points than you lose. Only way to truly lose points is to go on an insane losing streak and even then it takes a while. This isn't like SF4 where you can lose like 10% of your points in a single loss lol. Points in SF6 really don't mean much. I got Diamond 3 with Blanka and had really no clue how to play with him. I. still play Blanka like it's SF4.

Phil generally never uses Shotos (Ryu, Ken). He has traditionally played charge characters. He's not great at motions or combo intensive characters like Ken.
