This interviewer is one of the smartest who has interviewed Geoffrey Miller. I am a clinical psychologist I graduated ten years before Geoffrey is talking about...1979...had I studied a little later evolutionary psychology is what I would have focused on. Neuroscience is interesti g too amd I have studked that too. My specialty areas were mental dysfunction, neuroses, psychoses, diagnoses, treatments, personality assessment and its history, personality and relationships, behavior genetics,,IQ its measurement, the genetics of intelligence, anything touching on the subject of intelligence, psychometrics the measurement of intelligence. For me evolutionary psychology is just FUN.

So true you dont really understand your own culture til you love abroad. Such great advice to date lots of different types of men or women...different careers, lifestyles etc to really get to know the opposite sex.The wider your experiemce the more you will know about people and also what you like.
