Driving these bearings all the way in this way, in DT350 and probably here too, causes the preload to be too high and you need to lightly tap the inner bearing races with a hammer through the axle to unload them. Or else, you are shortening their lifetime. It's much better to use a press.

Hi and thank you for your feedback. With such videos we would like to show the option on how-to do a service easily. Most people would change bearings on a complete wheel, where it is hard to find a press with the space to fit a wheel into. As well as it should be clear that you should have some general knowledge about how to handle a bearing, before starting to change bearings on your Bicycle. As an example,I can do such a service with setting the second bearing without the need to unload them afterwards, doing it the way like we show in the video. At least athletes like Nino Schurter, Loic Bruni, .... never complained about the performance of my job. Friso "DT Swiss".

Hi and thank you for your comment. No, the ratchets options are just getting more. For lightweight performance Bicycles (Road and/or Cross Country MTB) the ratchet EXP is still the better option.
