Why "raise to wake" doesn't work with Always on display?😢

because "raise to wake" does not make any sense with 'always on idle display'. 'always on idle mode' is meant to allow you to see the time w/o activating the full-on watch mode (with sub-second display updates). but if you want to see the idle mode time, usually you have to turn your wrist to see the watch face. if "raise to wake" would be active in this scenario, it would activate the full-on watch face - thus completely defeating the purpose of the idle watch face mode.

very disappointed after buying the dt watchX because it doesn't count steps correctly and it freezes. I tried to restore to factory and synchronize it with my SG phone. I hope I can return it. But again, my hopes were high because I like all the features that it can offer. Very dissapointed...

that doesn't make sense. with 'raise to wake's the watch activates the full-on display every time (or most times) you want to read the time. so, then what's the purpose of having the always-on idle display activated - allowing others to read the time, while you are not watching it?

So I guess this is a direct ripoff of the Oppo X, which is worth around $500 NZ, so a tiny fraction of the cost. Is the difference then the chipset, since the DTis using a Mediatek, whereas the Oppo has an insanely more powerful Snapdragon chip. If I got all this right, and the DT is just fine, then this is just a reminder that a watch with a Snapdragon chip is just absurd overkill. I'll take the ripoff any day.
