I have this machine and it works great when its not misaligned. Any tips?

@@tonycordovatc if you are able to stand in front of the Miro and look into your DTF printer, it should be a straight line from the printer’s pinch rollers to the take up reel of the Miro… don’t know if you have access to one, but a laser line level would benefit as well. This way you can try to keep the edge of the film straight all the way through.

@@tonycordovatc also, where the film exits the DTF printer, it should flow evenly. If you see a dip on either side of the film, then turn the Miro until it evens up

What happens with the powder after the job is finished and you cut the media at the machine? Does the excess drop below into a bin or what happens?

Well, two things can happen. Yes, if you cut the film and take away the slack, then it will drop into a collection bin. Then you can reuse the powder for your next printing. Or, before you cut the film, advance enough through so you cut next to the take up reel. Then stick a magnet to the film hanging out of the Miro, that way the film stays tight and you don’t drop the powder.

Do you tape the film coming from the printer to limit the amount of waste?

Yes, but sometimes I don’t depending upon the size of the print order I’m running

I just got my miro 13 this week and I am not sure why you are doing this. Can you explain more. I have wasted sooooo much vinyl trying to get this right. Is this if you are just printing one sheet?

I am taking an old core and feeding film through the Miro to the printer… this way the printer film isn’t wasted advancing it all the way through the Miro
