What is the ink cartridge configuration for the 7890? I was thinking of doing CYWBBMWWW I was hoping to get some to see if this will work. Build yourself a box using 1/4 plywood, and (2) 1x5x8 pieces of wood. Tack it all together and seal the wood with some shellac or poly and it will be a cheap but effective powdering box. All for about $50 Thanks

for the setup, you will only need two white channels. The printer cannot lay down anymore white than from two channels. If you run 4 channels, it will use less ink from all 4 channels, but the printer won't print any faster. I would add cleaning solution in the unused channels.

Thanks for the support! I ordered from overseas. It took 90 days to get here (sea freight). There are a couple of Ebay vendors that ship out of CA, now.

I noticed some of the white prints turned pink. Looks like u had dye migration issue. How did u solve tht? I read u have to print a black layer first then the second print normal with white under. Just not sure how effective tht is

Yes. That did happen. What I've learned is that you have to lay down more white. The black powder was meant to block dye migration, but it doesn't do anything different than the white powder. All you'd have to do is lay down a thicker layer of white. Increase your ink limit percentage for white or try printing unidirectional instead of bidirectional, and that should help.

@@elegant_edits I see, what percentage of white do u suggest. I usually do 70% as anything more takes long to dry n accumulates powder a lot, causing curing issues for me.

@@da-tutor2916 I think you could print heavier white, but if you wait a bit longer before you powder, it shouldn't affect the curing. Just wait until the ink has a matte appearance and it should be fine.

@@elegant_edits I'll give it a shot again. Usually my lower ink starts rising n mixes with the white when I do use more white, so I will try using another ink brand. Which brand do you recommend?

I would go with DTGPro. Maybe check your humidity, also. I also have inks, but I haven't added them for sale, on the site. I've been processing those orders for subscribers, manually.
