I have the same question. We have an Epson 11880. Unfortunately Epson doesn’t service the Caribbean where we are located. At this time our boarders are closed so can’t fly in a tech to have a look. I’m getting bands in the prints. The LK nozzle appears to be clogged. Now I’m out of work as I can’t seem to work through this issue. We have done a tons of research and would like to clean the pump and cap. Problem is, I don’t know how to disassemble the printhead, ink tubes, pump and cap etc. any advice from the print community would be greatly appreciated.

Pump cap problem or damper problem? Hi, after I saw your videos, I don't know what the problem is with my printer. I haven't used my Epson Stylus Pro 3800 printer for several years. I was not so smart to replace the inkt with e.g. Piezo flush. Now I start printing again I have old cartridges of course, some replaced because the were almost empty. I have after cleaning the print head a rather good nozzle check, but the yellow color was mixed with black/gray. After printing a lot of yellow the nozzle check became good, but still the photo's are not really sharp, a kind of haze, maybe because the old inkt?? Old Photo Paper?? The next day I did a nozzle check again and the yellow was again mixed with black. Do you have an idea what the reason can be? (sorry for my english) Thanks in advance, Ton

sounds like you could have a damper and pump and cap issue combined

I solved my problem, it was the second small black pipe which is connected to the ink pad, the valve did not close well for good suction

I have an Epson T3170x. A technician told me that the error code 0014BD is due to a pump and cap assembly. I hadn’t used the printer in a few months. Is there anyway I can disassemble it myself and clean it and put back together or do you think I’d need a new one? Thank you very much.

Do you ever disassembled an old caping station? At least for the DX5 print heads there is not an actual pump inside. The is a motor driving the cogs and those create a vacuum on the silicone ink lines running through the assembly. As long as the motor works there is no need to replace anything but the cap itself, the wiper and if needed the ink silicone ink lines inside the assembly.

Im getting inconsistent nozzle checks ! Can u please show where to clean the head and how to clean the cap i like that u showed how it sit and i can actually see the head ! How do u replace the pump or cap and the dampers just incase and what should u change first . I cleaned my head and cap but i dont know when i have to change the cap how do i know its dirty !?? Also can i use alcohol or does it only have to be solvent i dont have that right now. Im new and im getting inconsistent nozzle checks and some horizontal banding on certain colors

Hi, this would be a lot of troubleshooting. Depending on the printer model we can get you over to a tech to help. each printer is different, we don't really recommend doing this on other printers that are not for dtg unless its a purpose built dtf printer. No solution should be put anywhere near any electronic components

@@AnthonyCreekTV Hm.. I wonder. Because it’s not just a typical smear. It’s very fine little lines. Man, I would so deeply appreciate it if you could help me diagnose the issue. I’d even tip you for your time, lol. Any chance I could get your email or a way I could contact you and send you photos? I was on the phone with Epson and of course my warranty is voided due to the sub ink.. The guy I purchased from on Amazon is useless. I’m pretty much screwed at the moment.

Hi I have a problem with my epson l1800, impossible to load the ink in the print head, I have used all the possible options. the head is not clogged it is new, the printing pad has been replaced and everything dies when I put product on the printing pad. No pipes are clogged or damped, everything has been checked.if someone can help me i am at the end of this printer

it sounds like you have a blown fuse on the motherboard. I would take the printer to a computer repair shop and let them replace. Its on the bottom side of the mainboard

@@AnthonyCreekTV the motherboard is new, the old one had burnt out. Are you talking about fuse F1 on the motherboard? fuse F1 is used to print, right? I managed to get some ink in the head using a pump outside the printer but when I use the pump of the printer nothing comes out, I don't really understand where can come the problem.

When i start the printer i have two leds who are blinking (flashing) and my question is : does the ink pump need to detect ink ? Because i changed cartridge, carier and ink pump but i did not put ink in the machine at time . May be it is the problem ? THX

not sure with that model printer. I would unplug the usb and power cord and see how it comes out or give it a try. You have 2 options; 1. Limp along and eventually problem gets worse or 2. Give it a shot and try to replace and fix it. Option 2 is not what everyone wants to do but it builds confidence and the outcome is much better than option 1. With option 1 the printer will eventually stop working so you have nothing to lose.

Hey. Im in Sedona Arizona. Where are you located. I have an F2000 for 3 years. Problems, problems, problems. My pump cap assy is clogged. I'm wasting lots of ink & time cleaning only to see it getting worse nozzle checks! I have a spare Pump Cap assy on hand. How much will you charge me to guide me in putting in the new PCA??? Any time & asap. I will pay you for your time. The guy in Phoenix told me he cant help me for a few days & I'm afraid the print head will dry out by them Please help!!!!
