You just witnessed the greatest vocalist alive. He’s from Kazakhstan (28 years old), sings in 15 different languages, plays multiple musical instruments and is currently working on his PhD in music. He’s been training since the age of 5, has a 6-8 octave range (depending on who you ask) has absolute pitch, and is an amazingly humble man. Dimash was born in Kazakhstan in 1994. He began studying music at the age of 5. At a young age he was diagnosed with "perfect pitch". His parents are famous singers in Kazakhstan. He studied piano and singing. He later graduated in classical and contemporary music. He has a master's degree in composition and is currently pursuing a doctorate in musicology. He speaks Kazakh, Russian and English. He sings in 14 languages. He has received countless awards and honors at home and abroad. After competing in "I am a singer" in China 2017, he became famous all over the world. In addition to being a singer, composer and multi-instrumentalist (more than 6), he has ventured as an advertising model, actor, dancer and audiovisual director. In order to qualify to appear on "The Singer" you had to be a professional singer for at least 10 years. He was 23 years old at this show. He started performing at 5. The older woman you see occansionally was in her 60's and was the oldest singer on the show. The audience votes each show. Dimash and her tied for first place that first show. The rock band you see in their dressing room became good friends with Dimash as well. (the were in their 30's) "The Stranger" shows his lower register as well as holding his last note over 20 seconds, "Okay" has that soft pop sound, Sinful Passion= Slavic show has the orginal band that composed and performed the song in the 90's performing with him and he adds a Kazick "mouring wail" in honor of the orginal singer who died. He also does the Diva dance from The Fifth Element. Welcome to insane voice of Dimash. He sings his way from bass to off the keyboard of a piano into dog whistle territory.

It’s a very huge rabbit hole and you will get a zillion recommendations He does songs in all genres from opera, pop, folk even rap. He is also a composer e.g. War and peace and studies since he was 5years old. He has a Master degree and is now to study a doctors degree. This performance at the chinese competition for professional singers made him famous in China over night and he needs body guards the next day. He didn’t win because he is not Chinese 😀 There are a lot songs in that competition. You can choose all you want - only one thing: Please don’t react to „The worlds Best“. They cut the performances and broke the contract - They lied to him in case of competing with children - as he imagined - he left the show. Love from Austria🇦🇹🥰

I am not sure just how heavily James Corden was involved in all that stink but he was the show's presenter (The Wotrld's Best). He had to have known SOMETHING about what was going on. It was pointed out that Dimash had stipulated in his contract that he was not to compete against children, as he saw that as unfair. He was MAD, he glared at EVERYBODY on stage on camera while an interpreter explained why Dimash was angry with the adults. So of course when he dropped out of the show, that got EVERYBODY's attention because he already amassed a following on that show. There was no second season of The World's Best because everybody was just thinking 'intentional skewing', 'fraud', 'cheating', 'the show was rigged', etc. That is NOT how competitions are supposed to go and that is NOT the way to kick off a brand-new show. Dimash's dropping out and his reason for doing so destroyed the show before its first season was over. I never heard about who won or if they even made it that far to be able to crown anybody as winner. I lost respect for James Corden after that incident. He's a funny guy and he knows some business sense but he messed up and so did everybody else who only cared about the ratings.

@@jamescurfman3284 I think James Cordon was the only reason, the situation didn’t escalate , because you can clearly see, he imagined Dimash was very upset, he tried to hold him back, laid the arm around his shoulders to calm down. He was the only one who had nice and thanking words for Dimash. There is a rumor, that Dimash , his father and the Repräsentativ of the USA were seen to go in the Government of Kasachstan shortly after the incident. Maybe Kasachstan was not very amused about this. The music and show business is so arrogant and destroying they don’t forget this disgrace - but the Dears also don’t forget 😉

This beautiful song: "SOS d'un terrien en detresse" was written almost 20 years before Dimash was born, but he definitely made it his own... totally. Its authors Michel Berger and Luc Plamondon never knew for whom they would finally compose it because no one can take it away from this wonderful Kazakh man any more.

Dimash started lessons in singing and piano at 5 years old, has learnt almost every type of singing and composing, has written songs..some that he sings in his concerts. He has degrees, and is very qualified, and is still studying as he always wants to be better. His mum is an operatic high soprano with staccato, and she and his dad sing onstage, and are or were involved with musical arts in Kazakhstan at governmental education level. So Dimash has been brought up in a very modern but tribal culture that he includes in his concerts. To get to know about Dimash, you will need to write an encyclopaedia, or just watch his fanvids, songs, concerts, travels,….it is endless but very rewarding as he is one of a kind… beautiful and humble, with Asian manners, but very focussed, and knows where he is headed, and will achieve all his dreams, as he is proving at the present. I heard him say in an interview that when he was little he used to run up on the stage after his mother sang and would bow to the audience with her. His mother was an opera singer and his father was a pop singer. When they realized when he was about five years old that he had perfect pitch they sent him to a school so he could learn how to sing. He also plays five or six different instruments. I’m sure you will get lots more information about him so I’ll let the other deers tell you more. He always knew what he wanted to be and he worked very hard. He was 22 years old in this video.

The beauty of Dimash... he was only 22 during this performance. Here is a warning... he is now 28 and he has practiced a lot and he has now sang in more than 13 languages. You are in for the time of your life getting to hear Dimash. Plus, once you see the very very genuine and sweet person he is you will really love him. One of his latest and also in English is Stranger. Yes, you will be very shocked but get use to it with Dimash. Also, get use to the goosies. There will be times when you hold your breath, times when you might cry, times when you will dance, times you will be shocked, gasp out loud and yes, times you might melt. He has one on his channel when he was only about 13 maybe. I will tell you, most of his songs have very deep lyrics, some are just fun, but the Kazakh songs... deep and beautiful. Dimash is his real name its just a shortened form of Dinmukhamed. In this video from 2017 he is 22 years old. Singing a French song on a Chinese reality show. This song is a pearl of the French songbook is a Canadian-French cyberpunk-rock opera written in 1976 by Michel Berger (French) and with lyrics by Luc Plamondon (Canada) and was immortalized in the voices of Daniel Balavoine, Diane Dufresne and Grégory Lemarchal. The theme of the song is depression and, in the 2021 version (DImash Digital Show), Dimash faithfully and brilliantly presents a sentimental and melancholic interpretation! This was his first competition against professional singers. He's got the first song on the first night of the 2017 "I Am Singer", a 14 week competition in China. Their biggest competition. He didn't speak Chinese beyond a few words for traveling. He was 22 at the time but had been training for 17 years. The people in the small room are his pro competitors.

Dimash was an invited guest (wildcard) to the show "Singer 2017... all of the participants are professional Chinese singers.... the fact that Dimash is not Chinese did not permit him to win the competition (came in 2nd)... the rules were changed after this.... Continue following the songs in order as he sang them in the show - watching the extended versions / behind the scenes... my favorites are Opera 2, Adagio, The Show Must Go On, Hello, Daybreak, Contessa-Diva Dance and more..... ps... the shows producers did not expect Dimash to go further than a few weeks... they were wrong..

One thing you'll notice about Dimash is that he is constantly looking to improve and ultimately changes his singing over time. The notes we hear in this song are not enough for him. He strives to go higher, to go lower, to go longer and to go places no one else has gone. It is truly exciting to be alive here and now and follow him on his journey. A few favourites of mine is: Qairan Elim - a musicvideo he helped produce and film. A very touching song for his homeland and the struggles it had to go through to prosper. Something we can feel represents all of our struggles today. Ikanaide - a japanese song that show how good he is at controlling his voice and the emotion he can produce with a bare whisper. Ulysse - a great operatic piece he sang toghether with a famous operasinger named Aida Garifulina. Shows off his darker voice. Stranger - the one song perhaps most alike to this song, but on steroids. This show a future to where Dimash is leading us in vocals. A song that you must listen to before it can be described.

This is a very deep and unique 'rabbit hole.' Buckle up! :) My absolute favorite performance is "Ogni Pietra/Olimpico" but I love, love, love many of them! He was only 22 in this performance of "SOS" which really launched his international viewership. This was his first performance on this show series. He travelled and was by himself (except for his manager, I think) with no family for this performance and was admittedly nervous. The audience didn't really know him but was asked to give him a very warm welcome, which they did. :)

That first really shocking high note is a high mixed voice belt with lots of twang. It is a rocker belt! And an F#5, which is really uncommonly high for male belts. He does it straight and then he feathers in the vibrato. He controls the vertical hold.

Every song you hear, you’ll think I know what he’s gonna do… well you get surprised and amazed every single time. This wasn’t his lowest nor highest note. That is a D8 which he accidentally threw out quite inadvertently during his Unforgettable Day (which he composed at age 17) at the Gakku concert. Dimash always makes choices to serve the song and its "story". He doesn't follow any set rules or patterns. Just when you think you have him figured out he will surprise you. He also doesn't stay with one style, as he's grown as an artist so has his vocal repertoire. One thing you can be sure of, any artistic choices he makes are 100% intentional and his own. Dimash does a variety of genres. I've heard mostly pop and classical stuff, but he does other styles. Hew has the voice to do anything. All the competitors are established artists (famous even). Dimash won this day, but placed 2nd overall. That's probably more to do w/ the fact that no foreigner can win the overall 1st place. This song is actually a cover though I call it more a remake vs the original as much as Disturbed remakes The Sound of Silence (which you should also do if you haven't already. Great song). Dimash has done this song since 2012 at least (maybe before). As for his range, he can delve well into the whistle notes including a D8 in 1 of his songs which is off the piano keyboard. Many male and females can sing whistle note - some higher that Dimash (but not many). (Mariah Carey has a Bb7 in her past). Still, whistle notes are a bit different than regular singing notes and can be examined separately. enjoy the Dimash ride!

You probably need to react to his Sinful Passion (Greshnaya Strast) at Sochi in 2018. It is Russian pop/jazz. Turn on captions to get English subtitles. It is a great performance with the band that wrote it in 1998 when Dimash was 4. It's got some nice long notes for you. He is fluent in Russian as it is the dominant language in Kazakhstan, but Kazakh has been making a comeback since they left the USSR in 1993. Dimash sings in a bunch of languages he doesn't speak. He's fluent in Kazakh and Russian, speaks some English and started learning some Mandarin at this show. He actually learned a couple Mandarin songs during this show phonetically. Mandarin is tonal, so you need to sing the inflections while still singing the notes accurately, which sounds kind of impossible and very hard for people coming from a non-tonal language. Learned it in a week and made them cry.

He was 22 here, now 28, and his lower range has gotten deeper and more resonant. He continues to experiment with different styles, has learned to dance, improved his language skills...there's really no limit. He was a boy soprano and his mother is an operatic soprano. He was offered a job in a Kazakh opera company and declined. He doesn't want to stay in one box and loves combining styles. It's always fun to see a knowledgeable reactor discover him. This was his first performance in China, and he woke up the next morning a superstar with a body guard assigned to him. He thought they were joking about that. This competition show was far more sophisticated than our shows in the West. All the competitors are professionals who were invited to compete. No tacky auditions or judges ridiculing anyone. Like they said in the preshow footage, the audience votes for the winner each week. You're also right. You'll hear him hold notes for record time. I think this was the perfect performance to start with. He wasn't doing many TV show when younger, and you'll see his evolution when you watch his future work, especially when you watch different versions of the song you just heard. He never performs a song exactly the same way twice.

The last one is in kazahk, mongol and mandarin, Tengri with mongolian singing techniques. Dimash has many songs in many languages and many styles. Pop, classic, movie title song, folk and many more, mostly with a mix of techniques.

Ilyen dalt még nem hallhattál, mert nem írtak. Ez a dal a Starmania című francia-kanadai rockoperából van, és Dimash a saját képességeire alapozva módosított rajta. A franciáknak annyira tetszett, hogy meghívták és náluk is énekelte. Dimash hangterjedelme C1-D8 és fent is lent is gazdag, erőteljes. 5 évesen íratta be a nagymamája zeneiskolába. Hamar kiderült, hogy abszolút hallása van. 6 évesen már zongoraversenyt nyert a korosztályában. Operaénekes diplomát szerzett először. Hívták a Kazak Operába, de nem fogadta el, mert több érdekelte, mint az operaéneklés. Folyamatosan tanul, rengeteget gyakorol, emellett sportol. Az úszás révén edzette légzéstechnikáját, ezáltal érte el, hogy élő előadásban 23 másodpercen keresztül egy lélegzettel énekeljen. Anyanyelvi szinten beszél kazahul és oroszul, és tanulta Kínában a mandarin nyelvet, jelenleg pedig az angolt. Korai angol nyelvű dalait hallás után tanulta, majd a reakciók során látni fogod a nyelvi fejlődését. Sok dalt énekelt másoktól, például a Queen-től Show must go on, vagy Lionel Richietől a Hello, de a saját változatában adta elő azokat. Sok mindent hallasz majd tőle, amit mástól nem, mert arra csak Dimash képes. Az utóbbi években Igor Krutoy zeneszerző ír számára zenét és Dimash fellépésein zongorán közreműködik.

Dimash has soooo many different voices. it seems u love Morissette a lot maybe love her power high note, dimash can do more. he can produce different voices when singing so many genres in many languages so it makes each of his performances different. he is bass baritone tenor alto soprano all in 1 person..which makes me confused about what performance to recommend to u. but try this: watch "Ulisse" it was duet, he sang as a baritone. then watch "ave maria" he sang as a soprano. it sounds like a completely different singer. those 2 performances are opera genres. then what about other genres? let's find out!
