Smelling like a bonfire, lost in a haze? If you're drunk on life, babe, I think it's great But while in this world I think I'll take my whiskey neat My coffee black and my bed at three You're too sweet for me You're too sweet for me I take my whiskey neat My coffee black and my bed at three You're too sweet for me You're too sweet for me Ooh Ooh Ooh Ooh I aim low I aim true, and the ground's where I go I work late, where I'm free from the phone And the job gets done, but you worry some, I know But who wants to live forever, babe? You treat your mouth as if it's Heaven's gate The rest of you like you're the TSA I wish I could go along, babe, don't get me wrong You know you're bright as the morning, as soft as the rain Pretty as a vine, as sweet as a grape If you can sit in a barrel, maybe I'll wait Until that day I'd rather take my whiskey neat My coffee black and my bed at three You're too sweet for me You're too sweet for me I take my whiskey neat My coffee black and my bed at three You're too sweet for me You're too sweet for me Whoa, oh Whoa, oh Whoa, oh Whoa, oh Whoa, oh Whoa, oh Whoa, oh Whoa, oh I take my whiskey neat My coffee black and my bed at three You're too sweet for me You're too sweet for me

I can tell that a lot of the clips were from the first performance of "Too Sweet" at the Walnut Creek show in Raleigh. The covered area gives it away. As someone who got to see it live, that's pretty cool to see.

Lost a good person to addiction. He was 58. It was exactly a month ago. Please remember that there are people out there that love you. Addict or not. I love and miss him. That Hozier song 'Too Sweet' was him totally and he had other addictions that didn't help either. He will be missed. Stay in the game- keep on keeping on in your recovery. Please.

Exactly, this is why this song feels so dangerous (it is catchy and amazing and I am obseesed with it) but I don't play i tin my house or to my boyfriend, because it describes him to the T. Which is scary. And also, accept your sweet girlfriend, and don't try to shorten you life. You are loved.

@@marielamesen no he is dead he died from the DTs of drinking after 30 years. He could never accept his sweet girlfriend or any relationship really. He had a lot of problems, and went from one relationship to another. Her then online, then some dude, then online, then all kinds of whatever, then her and acted like no one noticed both addictions. He wanted the high of the drink and the love- even the high of getting people mad by the crazy mean stuff he'd say-but it all caught up to him.

I am so sorry for your loss, i hope your friend is in a better place now and i wish you peace and strength. That song and that situation was about to become me, then I accidentally got pregnant and decided to keep her. Best decision of my life. My daughter (she is 13 now) literally saved my life without even knowing that she did. without her, i would probably be found dead in an alley or in a public toilet with a fuckin needle in my arm or with a bottle in my hands. i turned my life around, read tons of books just to be able to help her out. Now I am trying to get my diploma - university diploma - and she is preparing for high school exams. i am glad i have my daughter, and im very glad that i have a supportive family that was - is with me and helping me in every step of the way. I wish everyone to be just as lucky as i am. Best wishes.
