awesome video!! well done. Id like to know if using a dual input with a nipple output is better than a dual input using 3 set screws and wire as the output makes a difference CONSIDERING a set screw barely makes contact with the dual inputs output "nipple" whereas it digs into bare wire.

Great video man. Im kinda confused though. At the end with the results, less amperage made more pwer?! Also, on a load of 1500 to 5000rms, 100 rms seems negligible, to me. I wonder how it would perform on smaller amps. Would 500 become 600? Would even a 100rms channel jump to 150? Thanks man

The difference shows up more with a dynamic load on a hot day outside. So what was simulated here provide small gain, but it's even further realized when other variables like heat and resistance are factors. Daily drivers shouldn't stress. But an extra 100 watts could be the difference between a tie and winning a trophy on show day! Great unbiased video!

Anybody running this amplifier, or one of this size, should have an upgraded electrical system with an extra battery (or two) in the rear of the vehicle. The wire from the rear battery to the amplifier should never be 20ft in length or anywhere close to that. If you're only running like a 1500w amp then you shouldn't ever need dual inputs anyways.

I also upgraded the factory dual alternators . Sorry I said 20 it is less maybe. Truck is only 20 feet bumper to bumper. And yes the subwoofers and amplifier for it is way in the back by the tailgate under the canopy. I was using your 1/0 300A install kit size which I find just found interesting because I need 2/0 at that length for 300A and I was actually wondering if I should get two kits or just buy 2/0 which I’ll probably still run dual. Well besides the fact that there probably isnt a wire ferrule in that whole building , the conductivity of aluminum is %60 of the conductivity of copper. And that number drops to about %50 during high heat situations like car shows and long demos which probably wouldnt show up in this type of test. Copper also loses conductivity in high heat situations but at a lower rate.

Derrick I have a question for you. I have a scv 6k and a ns1-v1 amplifier. I want to sell one or the other so I can have two of the same amps so I can strap them. I run zv5 18's dual 2. I have a 12v charging system. It charges at 15.0 -15.3v. Drops down to 14.9-14.8v in the heat. At full tilt on two ct sounds 4ks strapped it drops to 13.8v. My question is which amp would you sell to purchase a matching set? Better to have 2 scv 6k's or 2 ns1-v1's strapped on my subs. Anyone else's info is appreciated as well. Thanks for the great videos!

@@uptobatentertainment thats what I was thinking myself. I just wanted to be sure. I read somewhere that they got a 1/10th louder with the scv over the ns1-v1 on the exact same setup. 12v system. Once you go over 12's though I heard the ns1 was a beast. But I doubt I'll ever go to 16-18v. Thankyou for your reply.

Josh Hanson anytime glad I could help. The SCV is a newer line than the nsv 1 v1, that’s an older amp, In that case I would def go with newer design of the scv!

The scv-7500d will be about double the power this 4kw will do and it has 3x the inputs. It'll have plenty of power to work with but I still might do that test for the heck of it later.

Would it not be better if the amplifier was manufactured with it

The amp doesn't need them. It easily made well over rated power without them.

What's the easiest way to install those to an amplifier every time I tighten it down it just will real loose again version and the screwdriver head on the amp isn't capable of the force needed to tighten it down without stripping.

I'm only using dual inputs to allow for fusing from my battery bank to my amp. If it didn't draw over 600 amps I would just use 1 run.
